Michael,
Market Weighton, York
A friendly, family-run hotel situated in one of Fife's picturesque coastal villages, specializing in fresh fare, using local Scottish produce where possible. Real ale is always available on tap, and the establishment has once again been included in this year’s ‘Camra’ Good Beer Guide. Although the buildings date back to the 17th century, all 16 bedrooms have private bathrooms, and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is an ideal base for touring, golf breaks and for visiting Edinburgh which is just 30 minutes by car/rail, with the station just one minute’s walk away. Hotel Rooms: 16 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 17:54 from United Kingdom.

Quiet location, made very welcome with our 23 month old granddaughter and the family dog. No need to look elsewhere for meals and Bar. Spotless clean and comfortable, interesting 17th Centuary build. Clean, well mentained village setting. Close to Edinburgh & Kirkaldy. Small car park; difficulty in parking our Mondeo Estate car though there is free parking a very short walk from the hotel. Bar a bit small, this also serves food so tables reserved for this at certain times of the day - (There is a seperate resturant though).

Stort mysigt rum. Mycket god mat I PUB/restaurangdelen.

Pleasant location in the middle of a small community but conveniently close to a railway station with frequent connections to Edinburgh and he rest of the country, so a convenient way of staying somewhere quiet and close to an attractive coast but with the ability to access much of central Scotland by public transport. Very fine dinners are available as well. If you are a light sleeper, please be aware of squeaking internal doors and the possibility of corridor noises on the part of early rising contractors in other rooms.

It was local to where we wanted to meet friends, the food was good and the staff pleasant I think the price for one night was expensive! £110 after all it is a local hotel in a Village, much better value in City hotels.Would not recommend to others as did not perceive good value for money!

Staff were great - friendly and helpful. We had an excellent supper in the hotel bar restaurant, and the Steak Special (2 for £29 including a bottle of wine) was terrific value for money. Unfortunately the location of the hotel means that car parking is difficult, but there is a local public car park not far away which is secure.
