Abertay Guest House  

There's an enormous scope for mistakes when choosing a guest house or hotel when you've got your family with you (me, wife, two boys 9 & 3), but this place made us feel welcome and the family room we had was large & comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We were only staying one night on the way back to London from Orkney, but we would have liked to have stayed longer.

Very Friendly welcome excellent facilities near local town centre walking distance beautiful location short walk to the beach. Very comfortable room everything you need. We had a family christening to attend during our stay this was nearby so very handy for us. We would not hesitate to return to the Abertay Guest House again and will be recommending it to our family and friends.Lovely home cooked breakfast too delicious!! Also loved the outdoor facilites a beautiful avery delightful cocktiels canaries and a cheeky parrot ha!

As they were fairly quiet they gave me an en-suite twin rather than the single with private facilities that I'd booked. Thanks for that.

It was a nice wee place on the budget just for a weekend there. Only downfall was the bed. As soon as I got on it, it didnt feel comfy at all. I looked under it and there was my answer, bits of wooden slates of bed had been repaired as there was cracked ones so there was small bits of wood nailed onto them diagonally to support the cracked ones, there was even a big large bit of wood from bottom to top top to support the bed which you could see wasnt even meant to be with the bed but had clearly been put on because of the amount of times the bed had been repaired, even so that was hanging off where it was suppose to go. In the end I didnt want to chance sleeping on it so slept on the floor, back was killing me in the morning, wasnt happy at all.

Very warm place. Feels like home.

The staff were very warm & welcoming throughout our stay, it was emmaculate & well presented. The food was great. My son loved the little avery out in the garden. I would reccomend to anyone & would most definately be back. Fantastic stay !

Kleine te warme ontbijtruimte, tafels te dicht op elkaar.

Très belle chambre "victorienne". Maison d'hotes avec salon, salle de jeux , cuisine disponible , un service à l'ancienne avec gentillesse. Je le recommande pour jouer à St-andrews ( 35mn en voiture). Accueil chaleureux. Les enfants seront contents.

Pour se restaurer, vaut mieux prendre la voiture et se rendre au centre ville de Dundee.

B&B muy majo. La habitacion estaba impecable con un baño un pelin pequeño pero limpio. La señora se preocupó en todo momento de que no nos faltara de nada. Buen desayuno. Wifi potente y parking en la misma puerta de atrás. El dueño movió su coche para que aparcásemos nosotros. Muy recomendable
