Good value for money
Room is good value for money.
Pillows. Really uncomfortable.
Efficient friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Some tired furniture.
Breakfast was excellent. Good quality and not dried up like some buffet breakfasts
I would have liked to have had a more powerful shower.
Very basic for the price paid so not good enough for us to return again in the future. Breakfast was nice & staff were friendly but the standards are just not there for the cost
good bed .not bad breakfast for a buffet style.
bad location - just off a roundabout near business shops - bit noisy in a front room. Cleanliness in bathroom under the bath taps - spotted the dirt when in the bath but good housekeeping would have sorted this out .
Bed v comfortable
Staff really helpful
Room too hot couldn't leave window open as road very noisy
Connoisseur room that i had booked through booking.com unavailable so i was downgraded to standard room that was very tired and smelt foosty.
All of it !
Head lady receptionist was lovely and tried to do everything to help with the lack of Wifi, but did not succeed.
Wifi non existent in the downstairs room I was in. Only way to access it was to go into reception which was not always convenient.
Easy access from A34. Probably a 30 minute stroll into centre of Abingdon (we took a taxi!). Pleasant breakfast/dining) room. Good selection at breakfast (especially for veggies!) and helpful staff. Next door to 24hr Tesco (handy!) Free wi-fi worked well. Room and bathroom very clean. Pleased with the complementary drinks in Connoisseur room (2 x small bottles wine (red & white), 2 cans of fizzy drink, 2 bottles of water, bar of chocolate and a hot choc drink!
Our bed was very firm (in Connoisseur room). Would have benefitted from a mattress topper. Pillows not brilliant - quite flat and firm. Creaky floor in our bedroom and in corridors (although we didn't hear anyone else and the hotel was quite full so it didn't really disturb).
The staff were excellent very Curtious and helpful. The breakfast was fab! The room was good also
I didn't like the bar prices. I found them very expensive coming from the north of Britain. Apart from that my stay was very good!
All the staff that we had contact with were all helpful friendly and cheerful
Decor of the bedroom, noisy springs in the beds, noisy floorboards, cracks in the basin and in the bathroom floor. No airconditioning, unable to open the windows as we were on the ground floor felt unsafe to do so at night.
Very friendly staff
Nothing to dislike but could have been a larger selection for evening meal.
good sized room, ample parking, comfortable lounge /bar area
Requested a quiet room but was actually allocated a room near to the noisy main road. The salmon salad was poor value for money as it was green leaves and very little else.
Good parking. Very good breakfast.
Near a busy road. Main course of evening meal - fish overcooked.
Bathrooms need updating matress to soft
Staff and accomodation were very good
Limited choice on menu
Good standards for the money charged. £59 for room with very good breakfast.
Organisational problems re checking in procedures and payment arrangements for breakfast etc
Hospitality of staff Spacious room Big free car park
The room floor was creaky The taps for the sink and bathtub need to be upgraded
The bedroom was spacious with comfy beds and it was good to have comfortable armchairs. The bathroom met requirements and the housekeeping was thorough. The lounge/bar facility was useful. The dinner menu was limited but adequate. Our special requirement for our rooms had been noted and met. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive - for instance remembering my favourite breakfast order! Good work in such a busy place.
There was a radiator but no air conditioning so we were fortunate it was not hot as windows had to be kept closed because of traffic noise. We were glad to be on the ground floor as there is no lift. This is not the most picturesque setting; however there is a pleasant view of shrubs and trees to the rear which helped to mask the nearby road.
Served our needs.
-95% of staff were excellent -Room spacious and well equipped -Available -Well situated for Abingdon -Breakfast
-£50 more than Premier Inn 300yds away -Room was uncomfortably hot (it was 30C outside) -'Head' waiter at breakfast was surly and didn't bother with our order.
