Friendly welcome, clean room, adequate ensuite facilities, close to Ryde town
very friendly owner central based location
small bath room
The owners were very pleasant and helpfull and made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and clean and we slept well. Felt really refreshed after a good nights sleep. The shower was good and plenty hot water. Having a fridge was a brilliant idea. We will definately be booking in again next year Thanks for a lovely stay
There was nothing we didnt like. I think it would be nice though to have some leaflets somewhere about the place so you can plan your days out .
Friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Five mins walk to the hi street.
Wifi connection was poor
Clean room, free wi fi, comfy bed
The parking arrangements
Some of the decor.
Mattresss Parking.. worst in night.. No option for hot breakfast
bed was a bit narrow
Small bed only 4ft wide! no soap or shampoo provided
Price was very reasonable. Close to town, beach and all transport links. Staff were friendly.
The noise from the traffic outside due to it being hot I had to have the windows open all the time. The lodge is situated on a busy road. They didn't have a do not disturb sign which would have been nice so I could have slept in after a late night.
The venue was decently located and staff were friendly.
It was VERY hot in our room and this combined with incredibly loud road noise (car traffic, people, the constant crossing signal noise!) made it very difficult to sleep. The shower water was luke warm at best. The continental breakfast was placed in our fridge and was good except for the fruit. A fresh apple or banana would have been appreciated over the fruit pot (which is not 'fresh fruit').
Parking was excellent and view of my car from my room.Price was good and breakfast was stunning. Also comfortable bed was very impressive.
All was fine no issues at all
nice staff, very helpful and kindly, very comfortable stay
Dennis, the proprietor, was very welcoming and approachable. The location of the lodge was perfect for us.
The decor is a little run down and dated - but clean and tidy, nevertheless!
We stayed here for the festival, great location, very clean and tidy, made to feel very welcome, staff extremely helpful, although we were by the main road we hardly heard the traffic, was very handy having a fridge in our room, and the list of local cafés. Would recommend for the price
The shower head. And hard to get right tempature, but it was clean and modern so not really a negarive
The owner was super friendly and helpful. We told him the cold water for the shower wouldn't come out, resulting in a scalding hot shower, and he sent someone up to fix it within minutes! It's only a 15-20 minute walk from the port, around the corner from the main shopping and restaurants and 10 minutes or less to the buses. The room was quiet and clean and comfortable. Would definately stay here again.
The mattress was a little bit hard for our taste but not that big of a deal.
Closeness to the high street and harbour. Also reasonable price.
Narrow stairs making it difficult to carry suitcase. TV was only working first night. For some reason TV would not turn on, even changed batteries to remote control. No power evident at all to TV. Very difficult to get contact with reception - always had to use mobile to contact owners for initial access, to pay account. We could not be bothered ringing when TV would not work. Originally allocated room on top floor which would have been impossible to get suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. Fortunately owner changed room after showing it to us, to the second floor. No soap, shampoo or tissues provided. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Parking is very difficult in small lot.
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable as there were springs coming through the mattress. There was no WiFi signal in the room but we were advised there would be. Overall not a great experience.
I was with group of friends and for looking a single room and this one was perfect for that and it was clean and had a fantastic time there.
Very Friendly staff to comfort you and help when required. It was good value for money and very strategically placed in Ryde which gives you access to everything in a walking distance.
Cheap and chearful, in the process of being decorated as it does look a bit dated.
Room was warm and cosy i could see the Solent from my window
Well kitted out room. Wifi access throughout particularly useful. Information sheet for local breakfast venues in room useful. Also, own fridge very helpful as no catering on site. Consider adding wifi details to information pack?
ALthough I like a hard bed, this was rock hard. Heating was extremely hot. Although one could open a window, it was wasteful to seem to heat each room at 80 degrees when it wasn't at freezing point outside. Should tell people the wifi code when you check in. Didn't know it and therefore had to wait until following morning.
