staff were helpful, easy parking, Abington and hotel well situated off motorway.
Staff were young and inexperienced especially the breakfast waitress, she was pleasant but was ill trained
The staff were very friendly helpful and welcoming. Location was ideally placed. Lovely hot powerful shower
Wifi did not work in bedroom Did not provide decaffeinated tea, I'm a vegetarian and my cooked breakfast consisted of fried egg beans and a tomato!!! Room was cold and damp
Pleasant setting & handy for access to major routes.
Close to the motorway for onward journey
Whole place needs a lot of TLC, and unfortunately our room smelled of the sewers
1/ Hairdryer in room went up in smoke. 2/ Extractor fan in bathroom clogged up. 3/ Very small meals served for dinner but not cheap 4/ Strange staff members
Room comfortable and clean. Breakfast was tasty and staff friendly.
Wifi not working in room. Not strong enough signal due to remote location.
Location, room and service.
Food was expensive for what it was and the cost of the room was ''bumped'' up due to the Commonwealth Games.
very polite and helpful staff, help to give his parking space to visitor.
too far for family room and with many stairs difficult travelling with kids
Near to Glasgow. Comfy bed. Room clean. Staff very friendly.
Restaurant food nothing special and service was painfully slow, but there was nowhere else nearby to eat.
Room was clean and fairly comfortable. If you got caught out by weather on a snowy day in winter, its close to the M74 to break a journey up.
The price. £109 for room only was a bit rich. However, we were leaving at 6:30am to do a cycle Sportive so would have missed breakfast anyway. No Hot water in the room unless you filled the sink from the electric shower. Food menu looked shocking. Nothing fresh to eat - just deep fried or microwave fare.
Convenience to motorway
No hot water in room Dated and tired accommodation resembling something from thev70's Dead flies along the window ledge in the conservatory Intermittent TV reception View from window over a neglected garden
Helpful staff, good accommodation, good food & peaceful
Very poor WiFi reception & closed to early
Food Although breakfast was good
Rooms varied in size some were small dark and very cramped
Poor internet connectivity. Missing kettle in room was a bikt of an 'irritant'.
Hotel is out dated and in deperate need of investment. The pictures on the web-site provide a much better impression than reality. Food at best was average quality
Helpful & Friendly Staff Clean & Comfortable
Location not great Food not good value for money
Excellent value for money Food was good
Room decoration a little tired
Friendly, helpful staff.
Staff were pleasant and the setting was nice.
All rooms are very dated and in need of an urgent update throughout.Room TV has to be 30 years old if its a day, wall paper peeling off and marked, carpet, wardrode and dressing table again 30 pluss years old.Tea / coffee making..... kettle had to be plugged in where the TV was you could not have both !
really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you, we went to a music festival near by so thats why we picked the hotel but glad we did
if we weren't going to the music festival we went to i don't think i we would of pick here, the hotel was great but there was nothing in the village to see or visit not even a local pub, which was ashame as we like the hotel
Really friendly staff and very helpful
staff nice，village beautiful
Clean airy bedroom. Flat screen TV. Comfortable spacious conservatory. Convenient location if travelling to Scotland from South Coast of England and needed a stopover.
Food on the monday evening could only be described as poor being dry and poorly presented - the same could be said for the breakfast on Tuesday morning. Stayed again on Friday - did not eat in evening but the breakfast - served from the hot plate was much improved.
