As I am disabled the staff were very accommodating in helping me enjoy my stay at the hotel. The hotel was very dated and in desperate need of a revamp, the bar area was layed out very strangely with comfy sofas, but tables that were miles too high, and nice feature fire place was blocked by another table! |

Very friendly, chatty and polite staff (I can't abide over fussy and over-bearing staff!). Nice and simple, enjoyable fare on the menu. (I have seen other comments slating the menu/prices, but if you want wide choices then go stay at a more expensive hotel!). I was very pleasantly surprised on checking out that the evening meal was included in the room price! Hotel is nicely located on the old A74 (and one minute from A/M74) for stopping off before hitting the chaos of Glasgow and Edinburgh traffic and is roughly about the same distance from both on the main routes. Will certainly be staying there again! |

The surrounding village...all one road of it...was pleasant and quiet The room was cramped and so was the bathroom, more like a single than a double. |
