Abode Chester  

The hotel was situated in a good area and it was ideal for what we had planned for our stay.

Not informed that there was a wedding going on at the hotel at the time of our stay. This resulted in use only being able to use the bar in the lounge.

The staff were the most friendly hotel staff I have ever met. We got lost on the way there and the receptionist stayed on the phone for 20 minutes directing us. I travel a lot for business and pleasure and have never experienced customer service as good as this. The bed was also like sleeping on a cloud.

The shower was a dribble and was over a bath which isn't very romantic. We stayed for 2 nights and the bedding wasn't changed for the 2nd night. The fun fair right outside was a bit annoying.

The hotel is of great quality and luxury and in a great location for walking into Chester centre. The hotel upgraded our room for free when I mentioned it was my partners birthday as it was a quiet night, thankyou Abode..

All very comfortable.

Rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean. Very pleasant stay. Reception staff really friendly, received a room upgrade which was great.

Breakfast-was Luke warm, sausage wasn't cooked. Difficult to get staff attention to ask for anything-very disappointing!!!

Very central location, friendly staff

Extremely noisy! Bedroom door locks slaming loudly late at night and early morning, corridoor noise including bedroom cleaning staff at 7.30am. We were on holiday and hoping for a relaxing stay Uncomfortable room. Only one chair, scratched wooden floorboards, very narrow bed, glass bathroom door which did not close properly.

Very nice hotel from the moment you arrive , the bed room was clean stylish and the bed was amazing ! Excellent location for the city centre . Will be returning !!

Location Room Staff

main bar staff were good. room was comfortable and clean. near the old town. good parking (although paid for it).

grill bar restaurant staff were poor and food average. bath was A bit small for A luxury room.

Staff - particularly batman on 5th floor (mentioned in room comments card)

Made a suggestion - again on room comments card - bar could stock a variety of bottled Ales. Noticed that Robinsons brewery are listed on some of your Cheshire award plates behind reception - a good place to start?

I really liked the staff...really friendly and helpful. Also, the location of the hotel and the fact it has 2 restaurants and a bar and a spa was a bonus!

I think alot of it was a little on the pricey side- to be expected from a hotel like the abode i suppose but not amazing for a young couple to pay £18 for 2 drinks!

Food was fine,location for our event was brilliant.

We were on the 4th floor,below the cocktail-bar,not so good could here all the chairs moving people walking across floor etc,didnt get a nights sleep,moved us on final night,room was much more pleasant,should have had a larger discount than received.

Close to the city centre, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, clean and tidy, good food. We liked the champagne bar.

Toiletries- shower gel and soap dried my skin and I personally didn't like the smell, my husband did. Would like more comfortable areas/lounge to sit and chill!

All the staff where very friendly, rooms where great, breakfast was really nice, all in all a very good experience

I booked a superior double room with a balcony for a customer that I was entertaining and when he went out onto the balcony to admire the view there was about 20-30 cigarettes that had been stubbed out in the gravel on the balcony I think the housekeepers need to ccheck this in future and remove the cigarette stubs, it looked awful
