location, breakfast and room
too many stairs up to room 10
lovley breakfast ,friendly staff
location a bit from the centre
Beautiful location, quiet but easy to travel around. Food was very good and staff most kind and helpful. Liked the big bedroom and bathroom, and constant hot water.
40 stairs to climb --- no lift. No sitting room for guests to sit in on rainy days and a few books and papers would have been nice
Very friendly staff everyone helpful. Breakfast great could not fault anything we enjoyed our 3 night stay and will return, and recommend to our friends
Thought the sign for hotel could be a bit bigger as we walked passed,
friendly and helpful staff and the food was exceptional
our room (11) was very small
Room was lovely and large with a great bed
Need a small fridge in the room as you provide water not nice when it is warm and the wifi did not work
great breakfast and service. superb room .
Location was excellent, a nice walking distance to centre of town, tram stop outside door if referred, quite at night even though hotel is located on the street. Our room (1st floor suite) was very dense ours in size and the bed was enormous, a strange door configuration to the bathroom but sorted that by wedging the swing door open. Breakfast was average but adequate
Breakfast and staff were good
Room was too small and too hot. Wifi didn't work.
Room was lovely and clean, we were upgraded to sea view on arrival - that was a bonus. Staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast's lovely & plenty of it. Evening meals good too if you like Thai food.
NO lift. Bit of a bummer if you're staying for a while & have heavy bags. Bathroom was a little tired & the shower took forever to balance the temperature, so resorted to having a bath, it was quicker! Otherwise nothing that would prevent me from returning or recommending!
Clean, friendly, right opposite bus stop. Fair for the price. Lovely Thai restaurant.
Not a boutique hotel. Nice B&B. Upstairs windows need a clean.
Rooms small but well equipped and exceptionally clean. Thai restaurant is fantastic, breakfast excellent.
Nothing. Will book again.
Location of hotel, style and size of room
Wi-fi was very poor
Staff were excellent and the food and service at the Thai Restaurant was also excellent, fully recommend this. Room wasn't anything but special but it was very comfortable and very clean.
Attached thai restaurant was very good
As the Only thai restaurant on the island i would suggest you book your evening meal before you arrive
We had a good size room with a good view. Generally the breakfasts were very good, only the first day did we have a questionable scrambled egg. havent tried the restaurant but know from family who live on the island that it is well regarded.
Best to shop around for deals, at £70 per night it is viable but when they apply peak rates of £130 per night we dont think it is good enough to justify "boutique" label. Bathroom needs upgrading on all rooms and needs a heated towel rail, didnt have a change of towels one day. Also having to phone ahead to get them to pop in and open the reception isnt on when youve travelled a long way, it isnt a part time job and we came in May which should be start of season. Staff obliging including young man from Kilbride and young Thai lady.
The restaurant food was very good The owners would be better keeping running the restaurant not the hotel .
Upon arrival no reception open had to ring a tel no he said he would be 5 mins a man arrived 10 mins later on a motorbike apologising he had been to the bank . Given a room on 3rd floor which was so badly decorated and loose plaster, toilet seat broken Bath sealant black .We refused to stay in this room We were then shown a suite which although not of good standard but a lot better than the previous room. Balcony dirty and tired , damp patches on ceiling. We went out for the evening came back at midnight ,pulled the quilt back to see stains of what looked like blood on the sheets . Phoned reception the male owner of the hotel apologised took a picture and changed the sheet we were disgusted if it had been seen earlier we would have not stayed at this hotel . We were offered a bottle of wine at our meal as a way of apology. Carpets up the stairs needed replacing and the decor was shabby . I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Never a 4 star !!!! Disgusting
The bathroom in room 12 was awful. The shower did not stay in place and the pressure was very low.
Excellent location. Good sized room. Comfortable bed and pillows Plenty of hot water. Good breakfast.
Had to walk through restaurant to get to reception which was a desk in front of kitchen. Foyer carpet was filthy. Room was in desperate need of decoration, particularly the ceiling where you could see the brush strokes. Skirting boards in room and restaurant were filthy. Curtains in room were dusty. Headboard and cushions had stains on them. Furniture did not match. Windows were filthy which we didnt understand as the windows opened fully into the room making cleaning of them easy. Bathroom had holes in tiles where an old bathroom suite had been fitted previously. The flooring in the bathroom was uneven. In our opinion this should not be a 4* and certainly not boutique.
Overall, the stay was excellent. The breakfast is very delicious and served on time. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
The heating system automatically shuts at night when it is needed the most.
Everything. The room was damp the toilet was filthy. The carpets looked as thought they had never been cleaned. The plaster was coming off the walls. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Spacious bedroom with sea views - comfortable bed
Bathroom was adequate but needs updating
the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. the meal in the restaraunt was very very good. My room had a sea view which was worth the money alone. excellent.
