Good location across the street from Dover Priory Rail Station. Beds were comfortable.
Shower vent was very dirty. Room was very small and hosts not friendly; floor hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. You can hear the trains coming/going all evening and morning. There is supposed to be breakfast, but they said 'no breakfast.' No apology for not having it. Many large steps to get to front door.
Comfortable, clean accommodation. Friendly staff.
Would have liked larger towel - only provided with one each and it was a bit small
Good location. Nice host who nicely agreed to keep our luggages until 4 pm which was helpfull as we didn't have to carry our stuff all day.
Poor wifi. The walls are really thin and you can hear every thing next door. Can also hear toilet flush, showers etc. We took the small double room and be aware that the room is really small bu OK for one night.
Friendly, well run guest house. Ni frills but OK
On street parking.
location to city centre and comfortable bed
sink stopper missing
Great staff who were responsive to my particular needs. Clean and tidy at a good price.
Clean and comfortable small double
Minimal cheap make tea/coffee. No biscuits. No warning of lack of breakfast availability. Very tight and worn en suite/shower with no surfaces to put anything.
Handy to the train station
For the price it wasn't very good value. Cheap sheets, small bath towels, no face cloths. Very tiny and cramped. Can't check in till 1600. It was OK for one night but wouldn't return again. No parking, though there is street parking. The owners heart doesn't appear to be in the business. Breakfast is not included and is extra.
Close to the pub, railway station and taxi rank.
Very small room and lots of noise from passersby, traffic, trains and the pub. The bathroom was so compact, it had less available space than a public phone box. I defy anyone to dry themselves with the door shut. This hotel is suitable for a thrifty contortionist, all others should apply elsewhere.
Good location at the railway station and a short walk to the shopping area. Comfortable room with nice decor but rather small.
Breakfast was extra and in a B&B you'd expect it to be included. Ensuite was tiny but functional.
The proximity to rail station and links to the port of Dover.
No breakfast available on site
Location - very easy to get to the ferry - less than a 5 min drive.
Really rustic - not used to staying in places like this - reminded me of my student days!
Cheap and cheerful, great at the price. I do have a better choice in town but this was a last minute booking for myself and a colleague.
Steps up could be an issue with heavy luggage.
A comfortable and clean room and secure storage for my bicycle.
Across the road there was a good place for breakfast which was good value and cheerful lady serving.
Landlord/Landlady were angry , rude, stressed people and you could tell they did not like having guests. It is clear they had experienced poor guests in the past and they have forgotten how to treat guests. Awful location. Felt the rooms were not very clean and the carpets were un-vaccumed. Not recommended unless desperate like we were for accomodation!
Free wi-fi, comfy bed
The location was good, with no difficulty parking on the street.
There were no towels to use for a shower.
Hotel was cheap,, it enabled us to catch the early morning ferry.
Although we had to pay for breakfast, six thirty leaving hotel was to early for the meal..
Excellent position opposite station and round corner from our favourite Italian restaurant
No negatives at all
Location next to Priori and owner a joy to get to know.
Many steps to climb
In city. Near Ferry and train.
Carpark on the street.
Location ,bike /scooter parking
Worn out mattress small bed so poor sleep
Bathroom too small, mold. No shade at window with bright light shinning night time. No room to get around the bed. Came home with black & blue arms and legs from trying to get around bed and in bathroom.
Location is ok, 5 min walk to city centre. Close to train station. We could park nearby.
Dover is a very unattractive city. Only things worth visiting are Dover Castle (very expensive though; you might consider buying an english heritage pass if you're also visiting other places) and the white cliffs. Better stay in Canterbury, only 30 minutes away. Unfriendly manager. Website states children under 4 are not allowed but they'd better make that under 10. We did not feel very welcome with our kids (4 and 6), who were not supposed to make noise. We kept them pretty quiet between 9 pm and 8.30 am but apparently that was not enough.
Short drive from ferry terminal short walk into town centre reasonable sized single room good double glazing comfortable bed would stay again Reasonable price
decor a little dated on moderately busy road no off street parking
