Ace Hostel York  

Beautiful historic building, with friendly staff.

Nightclub behind our room vibrating the windows with audible base until 2am, this would possibly only be a problem on a Friday or Saturday night for an older couple.

the 'best hostel I've ever been, nice and friendly staff . You can leave the suitcase before check in and after check out, continental breakfast was perfect, great location, perfect cleanliness.

Excellent location for York City Centre. Beautiful old 18th Century building, and great ambience. Might need to think about exploiting the character of the building a bit better. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff on the front desk who was really brilliant in getting 4 old men sorted out.Most appreciated!

Hauling cycles up and down steps to the basement for storage was awkward. With more and more cycle holidays makers the owner probably needs to address this issue. Our double room with en suite was ok, but there was actually space for two single beds NOT bunks.

Good location in the city center. Shower is in the room. Beds are quite comfortable. The building looks nice, old fashioned and very beautiful. The breakfast was quite nice, with fruits and croissants served. Free well working wi-fi.

It was terribly cold everywhere! I didn't spot any heaters, so the temperature was certainly below 15 C. The kitchen was not very well equipped.

Dirty sheets from day 1, bad condition on bed linens and toilets, a lot of cold air entering the room from the not-sealed-windows, and not confortable at all. Definitely will not book it again.

Perfect location, near to the city centre and close to the bus and coach station. Impressive historical building. Big dormitory room, comfortable bed. Polite staff, free Wi-Fi.

Very small bathroom and shower. There was no heating in the central living-room. The breakfast is not bad but is served only between 07:00-09:00.

The location was great and the price was fantastic.Lovely building with lots of character.The beds were clean and comfortable.We only needed somewhere to sleep after a day at the races so suited us fine.

The bathroom was very small and the toilet blocked up quickly.If I was staying longer I would have wanted better bathroom facilities.The bar was closed at 11pm when we came back for a last drink.There was one girl in there but the night porter refused to serve us even though we are all in our forties and were told the bar would be open late.

Staff were so so friendly! I had problems with someone in my room zzooring and they provided me with earplugs. That was just one of the things they did for me. Met some really nice people and felt complitely taken care of.

Cool old building with a bit of history. The beds were some of the best I have seen in any hostel.

There was a bit of an issue with the showers not draining on the first floor, but other then that, the hostel is quite nice.

York是個風景優美的小鎮,hostel離公車站不遠,約8~10分鐘,我的室友都很友善(除了一位會打呼的怪怪老先生),房間廁所都蠻乾淨的,整體環境都算在可接受的範圍內

早餐選擇有些少,不過住宿價格便宜,所以就沒什麼好抱怨的了

房间很干净，住客很nice，有免费无线，而且离火车站近很方便，去市中心也不远

如果reception的小伙子能帮我提下箱子或者开个门就好了，而且没有电梯！

Simple, clean, comfortable and great location.

Maybe something more in the common area besides just a bar, like a games room for instance
