Everything was neat and clean. The breakfast was good - great choice and quality.
The location. There is nothing close in terms of pubs and restaurants.
Room additives / utilities
The owners are really kind, really closed to bus stops for the centre, good breakfast
Bed was small
Everything met or exceeded expectation.
We had stayed at Acer Lodge during our stopover in Edinburgh during our tour through Scotland. Even before we had gotten there I was impressed with the customer service. When I was arranging the bookings with Terry, I had originally asked for the twin and two doubles for 4 people. He had suggested that we take two twins and the double so that we could all be together on the top floor. In addition, I had mentioned that some of us had a flight out first thing the next morning and he had suggested providing a continental breakfast in our rooms so that we wouldn’t be rushed. Upon our arrival, we found the rooms to be quite comfortable and clean. In addition, I appreciated the personal fridge in the room with fresh milk for my coffee. In addition, when I had mentioned the continental breakfast to Jill she had suggested sandwiches, juice and fruit as it was easier to carry with us to the airport if need be. I greatly appreciated Terry and Jill’s thoughtfulness. The rooms were clean and quiet and I actually was able to get in some good birding via the tree outside my window while I was getting ready the next morning. I would definitely recommend Acer Lodge to other travelers.
Good bed, good breakfast, clean and tidy.
Terrible WiFi and location is a bit far from the centre of town. Expensive compared to the rest of the UK, but possibly ok for Edinburgh.
Welcoming hosts Comfortable beds and good facilities. Car parking off street. Easy drive to airport
A bit warm with the window closed, but traffic a bit noisy with it open
Very comfortable room and welcoming proprietors. Breakfasts. Tea/coffee supplies in room.
The compact en-suite/shower was a bit challenging for someone with diminished mobility (but we managed). Wi-fi access could be streamlined.
The owner has provide very warm welcome to us. Even the location is not in the city centre, there are bus station just in the same street. Night bus from city centre cost about £20 and bus to airport cost about £10
the breakfast is not that tasty.
The people were very helpful. The information guide at the bedside was clear and concise and informative. It was well put together and really useful. 5*
Cosy place with good breakfast & friendly host.
Distance from City Centre but there are direct bus that take ~15min journey.
Cleanliness and homeliness. Friendly and helpful hosts. Plenty of parking space.
Noisy fridge - had to switch off during night.
Host was very friendly and accommodating. We had to leave very early in the a.m. and he called a cab and arranged a special breakfast.
Very dated furnishings; dated; bits of peeling paint; needs new pillows and bed linens
Comfortable and friendly Excellent breakfast
A friendly guest house on a main bus route and very handy for the city. Very comfortable, great breakfast. All in all first class.
It was very clean, comfy, very friendly owner, close to the airport. We liked the stay at Acer Lodge House.
