Bedrooms not aything like the website. Broken curtain rail, headboard, wardrobe in one bedroom. Toilet did not flush, mould in hall from ensuite bathroom. Dirty freezer and hob, crockery missing, dirty carpets, scaffolding outside balcony with moulding tiles. Whole apartment not cleaned or maintained to any standard. Acityabode not contactable or interested
quiet in general in the neighbourhood
lack of ability to contact the staff if you don't have a local SIM. Insufficient toilet paper provided. Grotty carpet and kitchen cupboard stuffed with electrical manuals and paperwork of no relevance to tenants.
Poor communication from staff during our stay, regarding none provision of toilet rolls and complimentary tea/coffee/milk which is unfortunate, as I have used them before and they were great.
Nice location for bars and restaurants.
Booked and paid for a parking space...a resident parked in our parking bay, we had no where to park for the two nights we were there, acityabode staff were useless, did not refund parking fee and had no idea what to do to resolve problem,Hot water run out. Will never stay there again
We liked having the lounge area so that, during the day, we could just chill in front of the TV. The apartment was spacious, warm and quiet. It was also clean and had lots more facilities than we needed. Better than a hotel room definitely.
Slightly dodgy shower head bracket which meant it was hard to hold it in position. That's about it!
Close too town center. Good all round accomodation. Will definately use again.
Shower fell apart when used. No hot water on last day. Asking for an extra £15 for priority check in.
price was good
half of the lights were either not working or taped up. the organisation for check-in was appalling, no one answering phones and lots of people queuing the heating in the bathroom was malfunctioning resulting in it feeling more like a sauna than anything else the flat (specifically the floor) looked filthy there were no forks in the kitchenette
Apartment was clean and there was most things we needed for a couple of days.We prefer apartments to basic hotel rooms nowadays.
We didnt seem to be able to operate the heating, but were fortunate that the flat was just about warm enough.
Amazing view. Quiet. Spacious lounge & kitchen/dining area. Great for visiting & having our University kids back for a meal. Underfloor heating. Swimming pool & jacuzzi.
Dirty toilet on arrival (skid marks etc). Toilet didn't flush well. Balcony paving stones broken & wobbly - a bit unnerving when so high up. Sauna broken.
Well appointed 1-bed apartment; staff friendly . View of river great. Easy to walk to the Bay and only 15' walk to centre. We stayed a couple of years ago and were v impressed; this time not so much: nothing major but irritants re facilities.
Lamp in lounge didn't work leaving only VERY bright ceiling light; several long dark hairs around; having to unload dishwasher on arrival. Pillows could be better quality.
A superior 1-bed apartment for 4 nights but no dishwasher and the balcony overlooked the car park. I wouldn't call that Superior. Could have done better.
Stayed here a few times. Good spot when working in Cardiff. Prefer an apartment to hotel and these are a good price.
Apartments vary and this was one of the poorer ones. Desk rather than a table, so feels more like hotel. Quite small (about half the size of the last one) ok for one but not really an apartment for two. Also had trouble getting access at 3 o'clock, despite text messages and phone calls to the office so ended up running late for afternoon meetings (showed a less than 'service' mentality).
location was good and easy to find. Good value for money. secure parking.
Only one bulb worked in bedroom. Carpet was dirty ,shower control broken but did still work , toilet seat loose. Complementary coffee/tea was two sachets of coffee and one tea bag? Wasn't made clear where to leave key on checkout wasted 30 mins phoning no reply!
Staff member who greeted us was friendly and helpful. Apartment was spacious and comfortable with good views.
Bedding - especially the duvet -was rather shabby. Carpet in bedroom had a stain and blind in kitchen was broken.
Cleanliness was awful Maintenance was awful Service was awful Incomplete inventory Not 'luxury' as advertised
1. We requested a double bed but had 2 single beds pushed together, with 2 single duvets put in one king size duvet cover. This was inconvenient and uncomfortable. 2. The gentleman who checked us in was unprofessional and rude and said that he was new and had started his job in July. 3. He curtley informed us that we should be happy with the 2 single beds because it was like a kingsize bed now! 4. He gave us directions to and from the apartment, which turned out to be wrong. The only way in and out was from Nice, not Hanson. I have proof of this as he wrote it down. 5. The fob would not let us into the building one night, i texted the number given immediately, but nobody replied back that night or the next day to even check! After attempting every which way for 45 minutes in the rain, a resident helped us. When we queried this with the same gentleman who checked us in, he very unprofessionally informed us that its not his fault as somebody else had the phone that night! 6. Our parking space was taken by another person, and yes i texted and informed yourselves and yes once again nobody got back to us. 7. I have taken photographs of the shower leaking, leaking guttering outside the bedroom window, cigeratte stubs in the balcony. What was the point of having a contact number in case of emergency when nobody bothered answering the complaints?? I also have got proof of the texts i sent. This was our first break in four years and it was supposed to be special. Wandering around for 45 minutes in the cold rain left me with a miserable cold and i had to stay in bed most of the time. I certainly did not get value for the money i paid, i will not be recommending you apartments to any of my friends or family.
The size of appartment for the money
The tv reception was very poor - so bad that there was no signal at all for approx 90% of the time. The dvd player worked but the picture was all green. There was very limited crockery, cups & glasses
Lack of parking Hot water off one night Toilet didn't flush Etc.
The location and we could come and go as we pleased.
We were running late as stuck in traffic and I phoned the member of staff to advise them we would be 15 minutes late and he was very abrupt.when we got there he rushed through showing us round.
Well equipped, good facilities, location convenient. Easy with car, quiet location but 5 min by car or 20 on foot to centre. Used pool & spa- small but only 2 other people there. Didnt use gym, although good machines.
Not very clean, cooker & oven & carpet very dirty, Pans needed replacing. Wifi didn't work for quite a few hours some days, expensive for extras. Parking £7.50/day but cheap for Cardiff.
Great location and set up. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. And the reception girls are hot.
Cardiffs miserable weather and the swipe keys not working properly.
Quiet location View
Left waiting at gate upon arrival - then not offered a lift into the complex!
We found the complex easily and were swiftly met by friendly staff who showed us to the secure parking bay and our apartment. This was very clean with a lovely view towards the bay, really quiet with nice big Windows to open. The underfloor heating kept it a nice temperature and the lovely bathroom offered a shower and bath with soap and shower gels and fresh clean towels. Having booked parking we saved time and money on finding any in the city, which was just 15 minutes away as was the Bay and Dr Who experience, near which a good selection of places to eat. The city has a great range of quality shops and the mix of old and New architecture works very well. We could see the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff City fc from the hallway of the complex both of which we visited also. The Castle is well worth a visit and within walking g distance also. As Cardiff seems quite flat it is wheelchair friendly as are the people if Cardiff. I couldn't have happier with the city and our apartment so much more than I wished for and cannot wait to return. We will certainly recommend Century Wharf.
location is good, pool, gym is very nice.
Check-in hours is too late, 3 pm. Firstly, if you want to check-in 1-2 hours earlier, they ask for money, dont expect any sensibility !!! I arrived early to Cardiff that day, and after they told me they can arrange the room but with extra money, i decided to put my luggage somewhere there and spend time in the city, but again they rejected !!! At 3 pm, i got the keys but then i have seen that room was really dirty, there was no housekeeping at all. I told the situation and they changed the apart around 5 pm, the other apart was ok.
We like the accommodation, it was a suite and it was warm inside, clean, nice decorations, big enough for a couple, very good location, it was close to both the Cardiff bay and city centre, we also enjoyed using the swimming pool which was on site and 3 mins walk from our suite.
staff could have been more helpful specially on our arrival.
