The location was pretty good.

Bedbugs!! Take care. It is clean but has bedbugs at least in room 4. we killed some and got bitten a few times. one week later I still have the spots! Stuff told me that it is very unfriendly to ask to see the room in advance. "It is booked, so you need to pay anyways".

Good size rooms and bath, beds better than average, good view. Breakfast was one of our best, cooked to order and full English type. Old house with a long history from 1740. Wish we would have stayed here longer, close to buses, churches, food and drink.

When we arrived several light bulbs were missing/not-working but the manager quickly replaced most of them. The wardrobe and drawer space was a bit limited - plenty for our short break but may have been a bit restrictive for anyone staying a week or more

This should be classed as a B & B, not a lodge. There was no lift facilities and had to carry our luggage downstairs and there was no parking facilities.

It is not far from the city centre and has easy bus links.

The room was shabby, the wardrobe was broken, the curtains didn't shut properly, the light was missing bulbs, the toilet didn't flush properly and the windows were not double glazed- next to a VERY busy road.

Fast service, clean, friendly staff. Heating was on on a cold Scottish rainy day in August - great to warm-up!

The bed matress seems to be old (room 5) and worn-out, as it is not comfortable and screeches louldy when I move. I had a bit back pain in the morning.

Not possible to get a extra blanket to our 6 months baby, the hotell did not have any spare and did not show any will to find a solution for us. We was neither allowed to use a toilett after check out at 11, even if our plane left 9 hours later. Drapers had fallen down and not repaired so you must close the window lid and sacrifice fres h air to get it dark. Bed was terrible. Squeky and uncomfertable and sheets not changed in 4 days. It was warm and sweaty days also. Not worth the money.

It is a nice place, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable.

Location was fair.

I thought for the price it was very inadequate. I would not recommend.

House keeping woman extremely rude on arrival. Requested more pillows twice, but never got them . £5 extra cost for full English breakfast was certainly not worth it. Hair dryer caught fire and began to melt when switched on and sticker on the bedside lamp for next electrical safety check read July 2007. Bit of a disappointment for first time in a beautiful city !!
