Style, cleanliness, facilities in room, staff were helpful
Beds were uncomfortable and noisy. No restaurant for evening meals, however there is a very friendly pub next door that served good food.
Walking distance from universities. Clean, modern and spacious rooms. Cheap car parking. Friendly and helpful staff.
Mattress was at the end of its life. Television in the shower didn't work and the one in the bedroom was hung bent on the wall.
You hear peo
I came in quite wet and cold. The welcome I recceived, followed by a hot shower, coffee and a rest, meant I was quickly back to normal! The gentleman on reception was most welcoming and helpful. Thank you!
price to much for one night £50
Comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, reliable WiFi
Slightly further from centre than I had thought (20 minute walk) but excellent hotel
We were in Glasgow for one night for a concert at the Hydro and the Acorn was approx 15min walk from here so very handy. The girl on the desk gave us a warm welcome on arrival and the waitress at breakfast the next morning was also pleasant. The room although not large was cosy and clean and had everything we needed from tea making facilities to hair straighteners which I have never had in a hotel before! Our room overlooked a quiet street and we didn't hear any noise overnight. There was a fairly good choice for breakfast in the morning and the dining room had a nice modern feel. Would stay here again.
There was nothing we didn't like but if we were to be picky one of the bedside lights didn't work and the shower base had a crack and felt a bit sponges underfoot.
Huge room with superb facilities massive walk in shower with TV. room was faultless and the reception woman did everything and was very attentive.
Limited parking and breakfast was lacking the personal touch
Nice design of interior, GHD hair straighteners & free biscuits in room, helpful staff (receptionist lent me her own portable heater as my radiator was broken)
The hotel is VERY noisy, you can clearly hear conversations & all noise from the next room. I didn't even have leave my room to knock on their door to request some peace, I just asked out loud & they heard me. Lovely looking hotel but you need earplugs or co-operative neighbours to get any sleep
Very welcoming and comfortable
Quiet but convenient location for West side and University. Clean and comfortable. Helpful Staff. Our children's twin room and ensuite were very spacious.
Our double room was a little cramped with no sitting area other than desk and single chair.
Friendly staff Clean and tidy rooms
Breakfast service was slow
Great location and good cooked breakfast. On street parking outside hotel very convenient. Helpful friendly staff.
Poor mattress on bed and shower tray cracked. Bedroom decor needed a little spruce up but clean and warm.
The pillows were really comfortable and amazing. We had a lovely sleep. We were impressed with the attention to detail of many areas around the room, the bathroom in particular. Everything was well maintained and we felt quite welcomed especially with the complimentary tea and biscuits. The area was fairly nice and quiet and we weren't disturbed at all throughout the night. Would definately recommend it to others. Price was decent too.
In the bathroom the toilet roll holder was extremely sharp, almost cut myself on a few occasions. -Although the room accommodated everything, the size was a bit small and at night the heating went off. Woke up freezing but it came back on later.
Friendly staff, was made to feel welcome from the moment I checked-in to the hotel. Great quiet location, not too far from city centre, very clean. Spacious room with free wifi. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Glasgow in December.
Pleasant decoration, overall feels smart
Our bathroom tap wouldn't turn off. No staff available at midnight to speak to (v low staff approach) so had to listen to it gushing all night hence sleep quality wasn't great. Staff not interested in the morning so left the hotel with it still emptying reservoirs down the drain.
Friendly, welcoming staff Clean facilities Good shower
Noise from other guests. We had room 1 outside of which are two chairs. A group of men decided to use that area approaching midnight to have a meeting before going to bed. Another guest tried to silence them but they were ignorant of her pleas. Ultimately the receptionist was called.
Hotel was very handy for bars, restaurants and university. Staff were lovely and it was very clean. The GHD's were great in the bedroom.
The sausage and back pudding at breakfast were not the best quality. Would have liked face cloths in the bathrooms.
clean, super bathroom, modern and comfortable surroundings
Excellent hotel just a short taxi journey from centre of town hotel facilities excellent also nice cooked breakfast in all good value.
As the room was warm opened window and traffic from sauchiehall street was noisy
Very friendly staff member (Joe I think he was called). Very modern and very nice breakfast! I didn't really venture out of the hotel as I was just travelling on business however it was in a great location. Ladies - Hairdryer and GHDs in the rooms are great!!!
My room was slightly on the small side although it was a single room so cant really complain. It did however need a good clean. There was a lot of dust over the light shade and the grouting on the tiles in the shower was orange from where it obviously needs a good clean. The surfaces and bed linen were clean though so not being a majorly fussy person I didn't complain.
We were I. Room 4, The rooms were small . We could here our neighbours talking. Our sleep was disturbed by the door banging and the music and noise from the bar downstairs. Radiator in room does not work so as I feel the cold somewhat more than others, I was cold during my stay,
Location was great....lots of restaurants, bars and easy access from the m8. Rooms were nice and clean with flatscreen tv and ghd straighteners for the mrs. Would def go back there.
Friendliness of staff. Excellent location and easily walkable from Queen Street, Station.
