Friendly, efficient staff; warm room; cosy bed; nice TV; nice breakfast; relatively short walk to town centre.
Bathroom quite small; thin walls; loud doors (guests sounding like they were slamming them).
Location? :) It was located out of ear shot of any hussle and bussle and only a ten minute walk along the cam into cambridge Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The bedding was in my opinion quite ugly however this is a minor niggle. Parking wasnt the easiest however there is a solution for free parking including around 5 bays allocated for customers.
SHOWER SMALL DIFFICULT ACCESS.
bed was comfortable Handy location
One of our rooms was cold Difficult to get a steady temperature in the shower cramped bathroom Not enough pillows Booking.com should have made it more clear that breakfast was not included in the price
Location was very central
Unwelcoming atmosphere Run down entrance Complicated parking Strong smell of cooking food
I booked this little B&B online for the couple of days I was to attend a medical conference. I was looking for something affortable and close to the center of Cambridge and this place seemed to fulfil both requirements. I was pleasantly suprised to find out the owner was a fellow Greek and he was quite nice and helpful with instructions and advice about how to get to the conference center and where to get things like food ect. The room was adequate in size (I had a top floor room in the back addition) with an ensuite bathroom with shower. It was clean and had more than what one would expect from a small B&B (like a water boiler with tea/cofee, TV and WiFi). The area was residential but had a couple of super markets and places to get a drink and some food close by and the bus to the center was 1 minute walk away (and ten minutes drive to the center). Overall I was satisfied about this place and I would recommend it for an affortable stay in Cambride.
The heating was not on during my stay but the room was warm and under the cosy bed comforter I was not cold. To the owner's defence, I did not bother him about it.
The staff were extremely helpful and gave me a map with the location of the main shopping areas and where my course was on so I could find my bearings.
Shower pressure wasn't great at times.
the bed was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent and great value for money.
the shower was either too hot or too cold never just right, also was full of hair which i have a phobia of and my wife had to clean it before i could use it.
The room was so beautifully decorated and truly clean. The atmosphere was amazing. The stuff is very helpful always and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. Its very close to the University as well as the train station. I would highly recomend Acron! Wonderful experience
The place was falling apart. Bedding smelt of smoke. No hot water. Fixtures broken. Door hard to close. Poor breakfast.
For us the location was really good.
The could have been a little bit chattier.
Hospitality first glass, Breakfast very good. Will use again.
Only niggle shower could be better.
The position of the guest house is perfect. You can reach the Grafton shopping center in 10 min or else catch a bust just outside the guest house. The area is well served, there is a lovely pub called The Old Spring 3 min down the road. The back garden faces the river Cam. Also the Beehive center is within walking distance and the colleges too. Breakfast is good and the staff helpful and friendly.
There is nothing that I did not like.
Hot water. Good TV. Comfortable bed. Tea/coffee. Delicious breakfast. On bus route. Easy to walk into centre of Cambridge (10-15 minutes).
Room slightly small for more than one night's stay. No parking on site
Friendly staff; cooked breakfast (served 7.30-9 weekdays); parking (limited but we got lucky); 15 minute walk into centre (or bus) NB some people complain that it is not central-we looked at a map first and understood the location; handy Spar
minor issues: slightly musty smell in bathroom; tv takes 5 minutes for picture to appear-thought I had broken it :-/
Overpriced, not comfortable, very unfriendly staff.
Wifi on at all times Good hot shower
Cluttered room in desperate need of updating Noisy in the morning plumbing and doors slamming. Room Not particularly clean especially window dressings however clean bedding. Overpriced
Good full English breakfast. The sheets and towels were changed daily.
The room was small, especially the table. My laptop could hardly fit it with the mouse. It was rather cold in the room when sitting in a T-shirt. The WiFi signal was perfect only in the dining area, in the room No.1 it was 1-2 strips of 5.
great value for money, quite close to town, good bus connection, good wifi, very friendly staff, grand selection for breakfast, very fancy room decoration - a real experience!
there's a little lightbulp show every first two minutes you turn on the bathroom lights, bed is very very soft - might be the exact right thing for other people.
The position, the comfort level of the beds, the ensuite facilities and the breakfasts.
The limited on-site parking facilities. I can see that this would be a problem for those who checked in late and were not allocated one of the four parking slots.
The comfortable facilities and the excellent breakfast provided
Was greeted man who was friendly and helpful and carried my Partner bag to the room. The bed was big and comfortable.
Was a Car park at the hotel but was very small but plenty of street parking near by. The sink not drain away very well
friendly staff comfortable room
far from city centre relatively expensive
