The friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The shower room was very narrow - but the shower itself was good, and this was only a minor disadvantage.

Staff friendly, helpful and responsive to requests. Room clean and neat. 1. I wanted somewhere as central to Cambridge as possible with car park space. The comment about location on the website was misleading --- the hotel was a long way out of central Cambridge. 2. I was in an attic room with the basin tucked under a sloping roof. There was no light over the basin so it was difficult to see oneself shave!!!

Its 30minutes walk to Cambridge CIty centre. Good breakfast My room was very small with little room to navigate. The bathroom in particular was small. I could barely fit in to use the sink!

Acorn Guest House is a friendly and clean bed&breakfast. It's a typical English terraced house with cozy interior. The owner was especially kind and helpful. Although the house is not in the centre, there are more options to get there easily. First, a bus stop is right in front of the guest house; second, a nice route to the colleges is a 20-minute walk. The breakfast wasn't fantastic, but a good start for the day. The bathroom, although clean and with new towels every day, is very narrow (75cm wide). Furthermore, there was no choice, but overheating or no heating. Otherwise, it's a good place to stay if you want to visit Cambridge and enjoy this beautiful town.

Rather old fashioned approach to B&B, As is the decor, but really helpful nice people. Rooms smallish, but comfortable and clean if a little cheaply furnished. Overall, absolutely fine, just wouldn't be first choice.

I was very safe and comfortable there as a solo traveller. It was just a little far out of town to be able to walk home at night and so I had to get a taxi. I was able to walk during the day. I felt then that the price was perhaps a little high when it wasnt central, but I was staing in a single room.

Nice vegetarian option at breakfast. Too bad only one of us enjoyed it, since they stopped serving at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. The owner/manager was very kind in helping us find parking nearby, even going outside to direct us (twice). In the triple ensuite room, the tiny sink with no shelf space was in the room and the shower and toilet were in a closet-size space. The heat was hard to control, we had to leave the window open much of the time (in January).

The room we had was on was on the ground floor, so we did not need to carry lots of things for our small child upstairs. Our room was near the small car park. The bathroom was small, but we were prepared for that, having checked reviews.

Good value. Convenient location. Excellent breakfast. Biscuits available in bedroom were loose in tin. Individual packets preferred because of freshness and hygiene. Bathroom a little musty but adequate.

Perfect for our visit, which was for a swimming meet for our 14 yr old, therefore needed good night's sleep and an early breakfast. Family room ideal for us. Excellent service at breakfast, which was very good, and charming owner who was very helpful generally.

expectations were met .. room was cosy & clean .. bed comfy.. is within walking distance from trinity st. and staff were friendly... price ok for location .. the only downside .. was the shower head needed to be descaled, as the water flow was too low.

Staff was reasonably attentive. Location is at about 20 minutes away on foot from major colleges and high street. Small carpark. We got room number 4 in the annex building which was fairly small: it could fit a bed (miniqueen size?) and a small wardrobe and little else. Bathroom also was tiny. Nevertheless this could have been ok for a night sleep without really unpacking our luggage. As a matter of fact, we had asked for a quiet room and the room was actually quiet in terms of traffic as promised, but we have been entertained for the whole night by some continuous noise (heating pipes?) so we could not sleep the whole night.
