Friendly & helpful staff
Location perfect for Ballymena town.
Food and drink very good, great service. Helpful staff. Great room and bed had a lovely sleep.
Spacious lounge and dining areas. The friendliness of staff
That there were such limited toiletries In bathroom. Shower and shampoo container on shower wall very difficult to press.
The staff were friendly and helpful. As a visually impaired couple, we did need a bit more help - for instance, we could not read the menus and these were read to us without fuss. Also, we could not manage the buffet breakfast and this too was done for us very well. We stayed at the Adair in 2006 and were delighted on our arrival last week to see great improvements, both in the hotel and in the variety of good food.
Hotel staff were friendly. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
There was a noise through the night like a generator or extractor fan coming from somewhere. The town itself has very little to offer (not so lively).
The staff were so pleasant, food was great and the rooms clean and comfy. Every member of staff great, from reception, to bar staff, housekeeping and the night porter. Will definitely return if am up that way again.
The location, the atmosphere the staff, the food the location. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily sty there again, although not in room 209.
The extractor that was positioned outside the window of room 209. if you opened the window to cool the room the noise from the extractor was intrusive as well as the food smell that intruded into the room.
Food was excellent. Foyer and downstairs lovely. I normally would call in and eat at this hotel when in Ballymena but this was the first time I stayed overnight. I Treated a friend who is a cancer survivor.
Didn't like room, No 123. Felt it was grubby. There were black hairs in bath. Bathroom floor was dusty and marks on it. Electric towel rail was full of dust (towels were clean and left on shelf) When shoes off the carpet felt gritty below feet. Wardrobes and drawers dusty. The beds were clean which was the main thing and because we were only staying one night. I didn't complain but compared to rest of hotel I was surprised with grubbiness of room. Felt they had made up beds but didn't clean room. If my husband had been with me he would not have stayed in this room. So on whole disappointed with room cleanliness.
We arrived very early and were dealt with straight away and given the key to our room! Bonus x staff very friendly felt welcomed x
That I couldn't stay any longer :(
excellent friendly reception staff as we only stayed the one night it is very hard to comment - room was nice and breakfast next morning good.
Would stay again .. lovely hotel
We particularly liked the days when breakfast was served directly to our table. It makes such a difference to have it freshly cooked and piping hot. Also, the staff could not have been more helpful and very friendly.
The one day when breakfast was served from a buffett.
Good location and easy to find. Friendly staff, especially the bartender. Forgot his name but is the man that works out a lot....lol. He was very attentive , kind and informative with our questions. He is a gem for the location.
The rooms were tiny, hot and we could not sleep because Ireland went through a heat wave and they don't have A/C. We were able to get a small fan that just blew the hot air around. We had a very uncomfortable night there.
This is a lovely hotel, recently refurbished and I found it to be very clean with very friendly staff. Would stay here again but not in room 210!
We stayed here during a hot spell of weather and were given room 210. The room was incredibly hot and when we opened the window the kitchen extractor duct ran up the wall by our window filling our room with cooking smells. We were provided with a cooling fan.
Staff, food, accommodation, we were made very welcome.
no air con in rooms, we did arrive during the hottest two days of 2014! but the room was very warm and it was difficult to sleep during this time.
situated round the corner from the city centre
Very clean comfortable , friendly and helpful staff it has a lot of personality
-Very clean everywhere, including carpets, looked almost new - Comfortable room with a nice big queen bed - Great pub style bar downstairs with live music on Fridays and Saturdays with plenty of sofas and armchairs to unwind and have a drink.
-Could hear some of the noise from the hall and when the doors closed as they were quite heavy
Bacon raw eggs hard
I didn't like the cleaning staff letting every door bang at 7 in the morning. So much for having a lie in!!!
Staff very pleasant. Room clean and tidy
Bed was very uncomfortable. Had room service delivered in good time by very pleasant girl however the food was not good and expensive for what it was.
food excellent, very clean and friendly, will definently go back great location
Very kind and pleasant staff. They could not help me enough. The room was functional but comfortable and very clean. The location is central.
It might be an idea to ask for a quiet room as the hotel has entertainment on the weekends and this could keep one awake, depending on where the room is situated.
Very helpful staff Hotel has been refurbished since the last stay a lovely place to stay
Car park a little tight more lines needed
