Just opposite the Queen's College playing fields and a 10-minute walk from Oxford city centre, the Falcon B&B is within 2 late-Victorian town houses and offers views of the college boathouses.

Other than the location, which is convenient for getting to the centre, no positives are worth mentioning.
Very shabby, to the point of neglect. It seems uncared for. Faulty toilet and very small, cramped bathroom for a family room. Flea infested bed - was covered in bites the next day. I would not stay there again under any circumstances , whatever the price.
The room appeared like a students bedsit Shower door didn't work..bathroom had thick black mold . .full English breakfast included in room price was tiny cheap and poorly executed..not a place I would return to.
It was old but clean. Very tiny bathroom, shower wasnflakey and water temperature varies from hot to cold.
They should get rid of the carpeting. It would make the place look much better.
No-one there when I arrived. Had to phone a number to get a key code to get in. I have very poor vision and couldn't see how to get in. Had to go to the nearest pub where a very kind gentleman accompanied me back and accessed the code. Wont be back
Very very tired, patched up wall paper, desperately needs decorating and improvements
Need modernisation - specially in bathrooms
Very late breakfast from 8.00am
I was very pleased by the friendliness and straightforwardness of the staff. Everything was made clear and simple, and the value for money was outstanding.
Nothing to like.
They did not provide the facilities as compared to money. No table tissue boxes. No bedsheets change. No communication with customers. No cleanness. They didn't give information regarding parking. At the end of stay when we were so upset about parking and asked them to help then she gave us parking permit. They clean room on your request. In short not happy as we spent money.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Efficient and friendly breakfast service. Decent quality breakfast.
Maintenance of the building poor. Furnishings and fittings poor. Decor and paintwork etc very poor.
sorry see heading
were to start outside shabby we arrived at 5 30 pm they was no one to meet us have to get the keys from the box on wall The room was very shabby and not clean the bedding was marked there was bottles under the bed wall paper coming off the wall and pinned back on with drawing pins they give us a 3 bed room when we booked a double so you had no room to move in it every were you looked was more dirtier am sorry but even for 65 pounds per night you expect a clean room this was so far away the moon was nearer to it
Nothing. It was truly awful.
Worst place I have ever stayed. I didn't mind that the décor and location are awful. I even didn't mind that it wasn't clean (dirty towels in the floor, mould, bugs crawling over walls). But the staff were so awful, which made the experience intolerable - don't stay here. When I arrived I was shown a piece of paper, I said my name, and she handed me a key - did not say one word to me! My room was freezing cold - they hadn't turned the heating on (in November!). I asked for another blanket - told no. Then in the middle of the night someone came up and demanded I pay, it was after midnight and I was going to a conference the next day! When I approached them for help with a broken shower, no one came to help. It was truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Also, they only serve breakfast for one hour; the rooms have no heater or hair-dryer. The walls are so thin I was kept awake from other guests and the water from every toilet flushing! I did not sleep, I did not get breakfast, I was cold, and I was treated with the greatest lack of respect or courtesy. It was dirty, mouldy, noisy, poor location, overpriced for what I got. I have stayed in better hostels at a fraction of the price. AVOID!!
It did at least seem clean but the place is in a serious bad state of repair, the front exterior of the house almost put me off ringing the bell. Wall paper hanging off, curtains torn and worn, shower rail barely hanging on the wall, hasn't been decorated for a long time. Do not consider staying here with a partner/spouse, it will not be a romantic stay. Downstairs smells of fry-ups (breakfast wasn't as bad as I expected, except the coffee was undrinkable), my room smelt fousty. I could probably go on but I hasten to add it was cheaper than most places so I guess that should be taken into account.
The fact we had WiFi, the bus stop was 300yard from the door, full English breakfast and choice of cereals etc. Hassle free. Comfortable bed. Brochures and bus time tables available. The owners taking the time to ring us to confirm our arrival time etc. The tea and coffee etc, very welcomed.
Very small TV,rooms need updating as looking a bit old and worn. But clean and comfortable.
Convenient and spacious for what we neede.
Itch mites (I.got quite badly bitten) and somewhat mouldy around the edges.
The location was very good. We were going to Bicester for the day and it took about 20 mins by car from the guest house. Also a couple of restaurants nearby and a tescos and sainsburys.
The guest house was very dated and really could do with some serious money spent on it. Didnt feel overally clean and im afraid to say I wouldnt return.
Da localização e do café da manhã
A roupa de cama estava suja
food served was good also it was served nicely. Also goats milk which I ordered was also obtained for me.
Shower leaking from up stairs into room5. Curtains not dark enough to keep out the light from the road and the shops. Not able to get in when we arrived as the number on the door was asnwer phone Very unhappy about that as we had just driven from Somerset
Great location, Good breakfast, clean room and ensuite shower and toilet. Good value for money. Helpful staff gave us a permit to be able to park free of charge. My son and i stayed for one night, for £65 for both of us including breakfast. The people who gave bad reviews and want 5 star accommodation should try the Randolph hotel at £295 per person per night.
Room cleaned adequately.
Chinese manager asked for cash payment or would charge 4% for use of credit card. Very ugly furniture - old beaten up pieces and twin beds crammed into a single room in awkward manner. Bed rammed up against shoddy curtains. TV reception very poor. Could not communicate with the staff member who appeared to serve breakfast. Very poor breakfast e.g. hard scrambled eggs, no one available to cook, no fruit, cheese, fresh bread, or decent yoghurt, no muesli. Gave up on breakfast and went straight out to find a cappuccino.
Poor decor, mould, outdated tv,no wifi, the list goes on not a good experience.
The dirt, the bed ( which leaned over at one side) the cloths on the pipe behind the lavatory. The cheap stale bread & stewed coffee.
Bulbs not working over the beds, tiny, poky room.. so small that we had to hang our coats in the bathroom and the shower was so poor that I gave it a miss. Don't even ask me what the breakfast was like Avoid this dump of the
VERY VERY clean for its age Nice breakfast, tasty and plenty very well located Pleasant staff very well situated for the shops
Could do with decorating update
* let me think .... errrr, nothing!
* the shower: 30 seconds of very hot water followed by 2 minutes of ice-cold water makes the shower time an ordeal. * the cramped breakfast table * the very small room: no place to open the suitcase on the floor and walk around it * the noise of the street * the extra 4% charge because we were paying by credit card but after a long conversation they accepted not to charge it.
