We had booked into the Adare hotel but when we arrived we were told they had booked us into a hotel across the road. There had been no advance notice given to us of this. The place that they had booked us into was awful, we were up five flights of stairs and the room was dirty and the bathroom was digusting. There was no cold water so we had to wash our teeth with hot water. There was no way you could contemplate taking a shower as it was so dirty. I dread to think what would happen if there was a fire in the building. The next morning neither of us could face eating breakfast in that place so I can't really comment on the breakfast.

Plumbing was problematic

The location was very convenient for Paddington Station and Underground and there were several shops and places to eat nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Having to pay by my personal Debit Card when I was of the belief that my Company's Credit Card only booked the reservation but did not actually pay for the stay. You really need to spell this out on the booking.com website.

Lovely people - really helpful. Organised a parking space for me for £15 which I think in Central London was amazing. The hotel was OK for a short stay - clean, good value, breakfast was OK. Bed was really comfy.

Rooms are pretty small but adequate. The shower room/toilet was very small. The shower folding door fell off as I opened it. There were intricate instructions as to how to operate my in room safe.....but there wasn't one in the room!

I didn't took shower for 2 days because of no water in your toilet/shower. You have to improve your water supply. Thanks

Great locality from Paddington station. Nice pubs and resturants nearby.

Location close to paddington so good access to the rest of London and easy from Heathrow. Room temp good as was cold in London.

No lift to rooms....difficult with heavy luggage. Bathroom poor condition. Mould in shower. Beds were only 18inches off the floor....like it was for the Dwarfs!! Breakfast was overlooked and obviously prepared well in advance. Maid service in rooms was poor - just reorganised the top cover over whatever was on the bed!

How close to underground.

Staff abrupt and one in particular was rude about me on the phone to another member of staff. Toilet/Shower very small. Seriously old/worn paintwork in bathroom. Noisy staircases

No hot water out taps. Wasn't able to have a shower in morning, asked for discount and was told the manager would call me back next day..that never happened. Will be following up..

Temperature of room went from cold to boiling hot and unable to change it Room was tiny Very noisy could hear other guests walking around Bathroom very very small Only 2 plugs in room so had to keep swapping TV and kettle not good!

Great location, friendly staff and an adequate breakfast. Overall good value for money

Staff, location, room, everything actually. I will stay there again as so far it has been the most suitable for my needs and budget.

very friendly staff, clean, the bed was made every day and every day clean towels and new toiletries, very good english breakfast. for the price you pay it is the best budget hotel in central London. next time i would like to be in this hotel again

the shower cubicle had faulty doors so didnt use at all. Did report it and they put it right to the best of their ability.

Very Dated Decor. Breakfast Not Very Impressive. No Lift. More of a B&B than a Hotel

Staff were excellent, location was superb, nice decor, extremely clean.

Room was tiny, but for the price was still more than acceptable.

Perfect location, only 3/4 mins from Paddington tube station, Paddington station and several buses. The staff is very kind and friendly. They smile a lot! (It's not that common in London hotels...) The receptionist - who was there every morning and every night - was just the best! He even helped us kindly when we lost the key of our case-lock. The hotel was warm but not too hot. The rooms are as tiny as the average hotel rooms in London. They let us have breakfast even tough we arrived at 9,10am. Internet wifi works perfectly well.

Tiny and smelly bathroom. The hotel smells a little. No lift. In our room only 1 (out of 4) socket was working. The bedcover seems pretty old. Breakfast ends much too soon (9am). I had a little misunderstanding with the lady who served us breakfast: when she asked us which kind of breakfast we wanted I answered "continental" and she gave us the English one - and we ate it anyway. That happened twice.

Well placed for visiting London - Paddington station only 3mn walk to take the underground to London West End or to Victoria Station. The area calm and peaceful only few walks to restaurants - pubs.

Beds not confortable - bathroom specialy shower room dirty. The Hotel needs a refreshment. Anyway we had a nice week end there.

The staff was excallant and very helpful.

The breakfast is very short time we prefare that it was until 10.00 o clock.

the small room, no means of pluging in the bedside lamp only one small lumpy pillow no shower mat only one towel each the tv placed high on the wall so could only be viewed lying down no central heating. Only an electric fan heater.
