All hotel staff very friendly and accommodating of our needs.
Window coverings would not close.
Having to leave!
We where on the 3rd floor, very poor wifi signal!
Excellent position with a room facing the sea. Close to shops and restaurants. Large room.
No Hotel car park
This hotel has the best location in Douglas. Very close to ferry terminal so especially good for foot passengers. Great for town centre & marina where there are some excellent restaurants. Very handy for public transport. Our room was very large, very clean & very comfortable. Bathroom was large & the shower worked properly, which is very unusual. The room was at the front on a corner so had great views over the bay. Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially staff for breakfast. The breakfast was of the highest quality.
The bar seemed to be designed for younger people. We didn't actually use it though.
Bar area/ breakfast room were modern and very clean. Breakfast staff were attentive and delivered what you needed.
The room was very warm and noisey and could have done with an update.
The hotel was in a nice location. Staff were friendly. Rooms were spotless and spacious. The food was excellent.
The locality very central
To high up
nothing of note
location, on site restaurant facilities,bed
noise at rear of hotel
Restaurant Large bedroom and bathroom
Decoration a little tired in places.
Location from ferry great, staff very good, great selection for breakfast and room spacious and comfy! Will come back again!
Can't think of any!
Staff very friendly and helpful
Had on double rooms with sea view
Free WiFi only in reception BUT signal was strong enough to be picked up in the first floor bedroom I was allocated. As a business traveller, it would be better if free WiFi was guaranteed in all the rooms.
The room air conditioning (none) so you just open the window and experience the fresh sea air as this hotel was located on the sea front.
The breakfast was very limited and not helped by an antiquated toaster (conveyer type) that was set on fire every morning. Shame they couldn't do the toast in the kitchen. The staff's English language was not very good resulting in poor service at breakfast.
Good room (sea view) good food, good bar, friendly staff.
In need of decoration in places.
Staff, food, bar, nice room.
A little dated in need of decoration in places.
Location, sea view. Large room. Newly refurbished restaurant very good and restaurant meal and staff excellent.
No air conditioning so had to leave window open and a lot of road noise. Room a bit dated and carpets dirty. Provisions in room missing eg bottled water. No fridge. Bed not made on second day. Shower leaked. Staff smoking on steps outside front door.
Good value for money good food and location
Staff lacked understanding at times. Internet connection in rooms non existant
Room at back of hotel although very clean and plentyroom for family was stiflingly hot out look terrible dirty and noisy mainly from extractor fans
Clean rooms Great bed Truly fabulous cooked breakfast
the noise of the drunks outside our widow
Decor. Food. Service.
positioning very close to town and sea
the view, facing a court yard
Really helpful staff. Cleanliness of rooms and communal areas. Excellent breakfast.
Had 2 rooms, one for myself and one for my elderly parents. They were moved to another room when it became apparent that the toilet flush was broken. The second room did not have any air conditioning and we stayed during particularly warm weather. Although there was a lift, some rooms were only accessible down short flights of stairs - again a challenge for my parents. WiFi access was patchy and only seemed to work around Reception area.
The fact that it was on the sea front which you paid more for and near the shops,
Carpets badly stained & dirty not hovered once in 5 days, no net or blinds for the windows the curtains were so heavy to close, you had to wash and dress in bathroom because of the windows, the radiator was on night and day so you felt you could do with a shower after dressing. There was plenty of room for a shower cubical but it was over the bath the head of the shower kept falling off and it cut my husbands foot one one occasion when it fell. There was no hand towels most days had to ask, and no slip mat either in the bath could quite easily have slipped I would not stay here again really disappointed the advertisement made it look so good sorry not for me
