The size of the room. The size and level of comfort of the bed. The bathroom was clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need. The views from each window were stunning.

Décor rather dated and carpet in bedroom was well past it's best
Good Location; clean, friendly helpful staff, clean, good value, currently being refurbished to a high standard. English breakfast is good
Continental Breakfast is limited. WIFI is not accessible in all of the rooms.
Large room, excellent Sea Views, Big Cumfy Bed, very helpful and attentive staff
Huge room. Good breakfast.
Very dirty carpet. Every part of it was stained. Tatty decor.
Very comfy bed. Value for money reception staff nice & helpful. Slept fine. Great views
Dirty stained carpets teaspoons for cereal & yoghurt. Paint work needs attention had to ask for towels bed falling apart un -derneath very cold at night, no heating (night time) around bath manky needs more attention to bedrooms. Needs upgrading add breakfast & put rooms up to £120, would come back then. Tv to small for room size, not many channels
We had no complaints about this hotel. We had switched our booking to the Admiral House Hotel after reading some disappointing reviews about the our original choice, but also because we realised that the trams would not be running and so the Admiral House would be much closer to the town centre. My elderly mother and I were taking a weekend break for her birthday and so I wanted her to be able to access the shops and buses for us to spend time exploring the island. The location was perfect. The room was wonderfully comfortable - sadly, twin rooms are on the back of the hotel so no sea views for us, but as we were out all day and had curtains drawn at night, this was not an issue. The staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating at all times. Breakfast was excellent in every aspect, and contrary to my expectations, my mother thoroughly enjoyed visiting the cocktail bar and sampling the different ones (she now has a favourite cocktail, an Alabama Slammer!). We would certainly revisit this hotel.
updated and smart Better than the top 4 starsHotels ive stayed in
lift jerks thats all
Nice big room Lovely bathroom
Two beds pushed together so bed had an uncomfortable join
Turret room /suite on 4th floor so much room, 4 poster bed, clean, super breakfast and lovely cocktail bar.
unfortunately lift broke down during the night so had to use stairs for breakfast and check out....still had great stay - these things can happen.
1 - HUGE Room with HUGE bed !! 2 - Excellent breakfasts - full English (me) and the Manx Kippers (wife) 3 - Warm throughout (helpful for drying off wet walking stuff !!) 4 - Overall excellent value for money - would definitely go again.
The downstairs bar was a touch pricey but - hey - it's a hotel !!!
Great location. Comfortable enough.
Room was a bit drab, needs a spruce up, some marks on carpet etc. Bathroom also could use modernising and more thought to hooks for clothes, shelf space etc.
location was perfect. Friendly staff.
Restaurant was quite expensive.
location breakfast excellant
The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and so quiet! With 3 children, a 7 year old and twins of 10 months, we were worried about the noise from them but also what would disturb them, we didn't hear a thing the whole time we were there! Breakfast was fantastic! To be honest, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it and go back again.
One little tiny moan, only because I had some work that needed to be done online, the wifi connection was poor in our room. This wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't taken work though! Maybe it was a sign!!
Very warm welcoming and comfortable lovely breakfasts staff very friendly.
Parts of hotel a bit dated.
