Built in 1880, The Golf Hotel is set in 7 acres of well kept gardens, lawns and woodlands. Boasting an idyllic setting, it offers hydrotherapy, golf and beauty treatments in the heart of Lincolnshire....

In historical Louth, just 20 minutes’ drive from Grimsby, The Pack Horse features an American diner and traditional bar. With free parking, it has cosy rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Originally built in 1905, and surrounded by 30 acres of beautiful gardens, this former country house offers free Wi-Fi, free car parking, and log fires in the drawing room.
Score from 249 reviews Very good
The Half Moon Hotel and Restaurant has been in the same family for nearly 40 years. A listed building with a history going back some 400 years, in a lively social centre.
Score from 45 reviews Very good
Very pleasant staff
Slow service in the restaurant. Wifi didn't work in rooms. Tops far too tight on water bottles. Shower too exciting - either far too hot or suddenly extremely cold - not at all easy to regulate.
Venison and Rib eye steaks were very good
Empty building, lots of spare rooms, but squeezed everyone in next to each other. We got the slightly deaf, shouty, snoring couple :-( Not very much sleep. White wine served with meal just cold enough and not served with ice bucket. Warm white wine is horrible.
The bedroom was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Lots of chairs to relax in near the bar. The staff could not have been more helpful.
The food was marvellous as were the staff. Roomy excellent accommodation made for a relaxing stay. Pity it was only one night and will definitely return without hesitation.
Generally nice layout and efficient despite not being a very modern hotel. Staff were friendly, beer and food were good, impressed by provision of free de-icer and scrapers (it was January!) at Reception.
No real dislikes.
Awe stayed over Christmas. The breakfasts were very good, there was a very good choice and the staff were fantastic.
On arrival the room was O.K but Some areas had not seen a duster in a long time (lamp shade and bedside lamps) this was very visible. The room maybe could be tweaked about so you could see the T.V. You could only watch it if you were prepared to stand.
Hotel just what I expected. Cracking breakfast!
Friendly staff. Very close to shops
Car park convenient for hotel but need to research how to get to it from town
Both rooms were warm, clean and comfortable and the bar area likewise. No complaints at all and I would recommend this hotel to others.
Excellent friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
Bar stopped serving although we required it to stay open, this is at the discretion of the night porter apparently.
Nice clean friendly Hotel. Room 404 was very quiet, was away on business stayed for a few nights. Breakfast was vey good freshly cooked. Close to town. Parking very good.
Too be honest in my opinion there was nothing to dislike
The location was good. There are few hotels in the area to choose from and it is in the centre of the town. Large car park. Restaurant has a reasonable choice of food. Breakfast was good & included in the price. WiFi free. Always a bonus. Staff were lovely.
The shower in my room was either too hot or cold. Nothing in between. Asked for it to be fixed but it was like that for the duration of the stay. The noise from room above - creaking floorboards & very noisy bathroom fan running all night most nights made sleep impossible. Exhausted at the end of 4 nights.
The Food was brilliant, compliments to the chef
Breakfast could have been better
The Room Sixe and the welcome gift
The noise from above our room sounded like moving furniture. late at night and early morning !
The convenience of the location also the comfortable rooms and exellent food. Also very obliging staff.
Having to leave!
Staff were very helpful and polite. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. If you want to feel like a genuinely weldome guest, this is a good hotel to stay in
Good size car park, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
The floorboards in the corridor outside our room creaked very loudly every time someone walked by. So did the ones in the room above ours. The occupants seemed to be on the move all night which meant we didn't get much sleep.
The facilities are a little old and in need of an update, but everything was clean and very nice and homely, and the staff were exceptional and very helpful. We stayed Friday 3rd Oct 2014 and would in particular like to thank the reception staff.
Warm welcome, comfortable room and pleasant restaurant with attentive staff. Large private car park. Liked the connection with The Woodland Trust.
Dinner menu was reduced due to problem in kitchen. The lift was out of order (not a problem to us)
Pleasant welcome, good size room, decent telly, good shower.
Menu uninspiring, but enjoyed my steak. Seviice lacks a little finess. Generally a bit dated in style.
Breakfast/wonderful coffee, excellent staff. Good beds. Large car park. Easy checkout.
Very noisy floorboards in bedroom -old property. Doors banging - our room was adjacent to the lift. Lift out of order on second day.
Great food, comfy bed, overall good stay
Couldn't get Wifi in my room
I liked the huge car park at the back of the hotel unusual in town centre hotels.
Our son had a room overlooking the street which was noisy in the mornings with farmers trying to get their work done before the traffic got too heavy.
