The hotel was smart, parking good, staff helpful, room spacious and clean, bed comfortable, tv worked well, breakfast was excellent in pleasant surroundings. The bathroom was a little cramped and the basin was cracked. The wardrobe doors were off the runners and difficult to slide (fixed) Access to a small fridge in the room would have been nice.

It is very close to Cadwell Park Race circuit and provides good food and a comfortable environment. We were left alone to sort out the heating which meant we were varioulsy very hot or very cold throughout our stay.

I was very impressed with the location, decor and facilities. The room was large and nicely decorated. The room was clean as were the other parts of the hotel. The staff were always available but not in your face. The reception, restaurant and bar areas were very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. The breakfast was also very nice. We will be staying there again. There was a damp patch on one of the walls in the room where water had obviously come through the ceiling which spoilt an otherwise excellant room.

Good parking, easy access to the hotel. Central to the town. Staff friendly and efficient. Changed rooms with no problem as it was not as ordered. Overall a good hotel. Bathroom shower was difficult to control, even through we followed instructions on the notice. No hot water late at night. Toilet cistern filled very slowly and when flushed once, we had to leave it for quite a while to fill up. Would be awkward in a family room with a number of people using the same bathroom. Toilet was very close to the wall and the toilet roll holder dug into your arm when using the toilet. More vegetarian options needed on the menu.

Resturant and service. Good breakfast and everning meal good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was small and decor dated. The bed was small, barely a double. The room was noisy due to overlooking the street, which was heavily trafficed. This was made worse due to the lack of double glazing. We were supplied only one bath and one hand towel.

A very comfortable and friendly hotel. We arrived at 23.00 on a Friday evening and even though the restaurant was closed were provided with a large plate of sandwiches at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was enormous, so good value for many and the waiting staff very friendly and happy to cater for off-menu requests. The rooms are comfortable providing all the standard facilities including a bath in the bathroom and tea and coffee. The hotel is ideally located for many places of interest within the area. We visited the Battle of Britain Memorial and Skegness, much improved in the last 20 years, is a 30 minute drive. There isn't really anything to dislike. the only comment would be that the instructions for the shower could be clearer- ie 'to use the shower, only turn the large knob between the taps'!!!!

small double bed -think it is time best western installed queen or king beds in their double rooms. On Saturday breakfast was until 9.30am which seems very early to me for the weekend. we would only recommend this hotel because there does not appear to be any alternative.

Ease of access, friendly, helpful staff, peace & quiet Feel the card machine needs to be updated, problems with payment on one card on joint account but partner's card with identical details accepted. Because of this we have to have new cards issued!
