On our first night, we stayed at the basement room and the smell of the sewer from the toilet was so bad so we requested for a transfer. The suceeding evenings we stayed at the Pearl Hotel, just 10 steps away from Sapphire Hotel and again we were in the basement. The room was much smaller but odorless. Shower has hot water and housekeeping keeps the rooms tidy everyday. Also wifi signal is almost non existent at the basement. Breakfast spread is the same everyday.
Good price, quite clean room
I was directed to a nearby hotel owned by the same company... The heating was not switched on.
Location was great. On bus route with only 3 stops away from hammersmith station. Within 10min walking distance to Olympia centre or Hammersmith station.
No stand alone computer to use for guests. No phone in room.
clean and freindly
staff and quality of room in compare of the price paid.
no parking ,.:)
The room was lovely.
I liked everything
We booked the Sapphire hotel but after checking in, we were told that our room was in the Pearl hotel a few doors down. This wasn't an issue for us, it's literally 30s away. The hotel was clean and tidy, very basic but can't complain for the price we paid. Room was nicely decorated although small. Not a big deal though as we only spent a night there. Breakfast was nice, lots of choice although dining room is a bit cramped.
Few minor things brought it down a little, there was an old light hanging off the ceiling on the top floor and they should put a clear 'mind the step' sign on the front door. I managed to trip up the step every time.
good modern furniture - good bed but not double as the say -
tiny room, could not place 2 luggages at the same time in floor - plumbing problems in toilet - one night started rain from roof - breakfast is served by another hotel nearby but we were sutisfied with breakfast.
Breakfast served elsewhere
Throw was so dirty and discussing. Shower and sink was clogged. The rest look clean.
Easy walk to the Hammersmith Apollo and Portobello Road the following day. The hotel was "hospital clean" and staff were helpful and friendly.
The front door needs to have the "closer" changed to stop it banging every time a guest leaves. If you want a guiet lie in you won't get it
Easy walking distance to concert venue. Very comfortable hotel, room was a little on the small side but was spotlessly clean and ideal for an overnight stay! Asked for a quiet room and that's what we got.
Location and price,
I could easily hear people in other rooms talking and sirens outside.
Not very exciting about this place... However it was cheap price for London.
Small double bed..
Good value for money. You can't find another one so close to the centre for that money. 5' walk to 2 tube stations, nice breakfast & free-wifi.
No soundproofing, so you can hear every person going up&down the stairs at night. A bit cold, but you can ask them to turn on the heat. Kind of small room, but ok for one person travelling for business.
Pretty entrance and common areas and breakfast was not bad. Great location for white city, heathrow and westfield. The staff was accommodating for the room changes.
No wifi working in any room I was given or the common areas. My (single) room was so small I could not stay there and asked for a bigger one. A double room in the basement smelled toilet so much it was unbearable and I could not change into it. The single room's photos must have been manipulated and after a discussion the receptionist told me that there is ONE single room which looks like the photo. I was not able to cancel as would lose two nights so I stayed two nights and moved next door to Euro hotel. I found it disturbing that all the staff I dealt with were men in tracksuits and trainers. Somehow not my type of hotel staff.
location was good for the Eventim Apollo
was supposed to be staying in the Sapphire but was transferred to the 'sister' Pearl hotel for no reason, this was after we had already paid the £55 for the room (they probably do this so you cannot cancel) room was absolutely tiny, 'double' bed was about 2 ft bigger than a single, room was cramped and the hotel extremely noisy with guests knocking on the wrong door at 3 & 5am, cleaners were also rude, was not advised of check out time (which turned out to be 11) then we had the cleaners knocking constantly on the door at 11.05 even though we were clearly trying to pick our bags up to leave. hoovers and cleaning bits were then all over the hallway which the cleaners refused to move making it extremely difficult to move ourselves out of the building! yes the price wasn't too bad but I have stayed in much better hotels for the same money. did not like the sneakiness of having to pay for a hotel you thought you were staying in to then be moved to another!
Ideal location and friendly staff at breakfast
Not ideal if you have lots of bags or suitcases as the stairs are very narrow and there are no lifts. Request a room on the ground floor if you have suitcases.
Everything but the bed was fab.
The bed was the smallest double I have ever seen, did not know they came that small. The lack of space led to a very restless night, I nearly fell out of the bed on multiple occasions. The bed was also on wheels and by the morning it had moved a significant distance.
Pleasant and comfortable, polite, helpful staff. Great value for money in west central London
Room a bit cramped - the bed prevented full opening of door to ensuite. No chair, no light switch by bed
The location was good: walking distance to metro, supermarket and very big shoppig mall. Good breakfast. The room was very small but comfortable. Cleaning every day. There was tee and coffee in the room + fridge and electric kettle. No traffic sounds nor other noise in the room.
There was no lift but a very steep staircase (our room was in 2nd floor). The bed was small (1,20 m width).
Good location. Small clean hotel. We were booked in to the Sapphire but stayed at the Pearl which is the sister hotel and also where the breakfast room is for both hotels. Good breakfast - expected just a basic continental breakfast but had cereals, juice, croissants, toast, scrambled eggs and good coffee.
All good for us.
Staff were good and reasonable value for the money.
Broken tile in Bathroom floor Noisy People Ironing facilities were poor
They dont have left and if you want to bring your luggage to you room you have to paid £5 !!!!and my room was so small I couldnt move !!!
Breakfast poor selection.
Limited space in room and bathroom
