Location, design, facility
I asked to pay in GBP with my credit card, but it came out in USD. An exchange loss caused.
Location room staff almost family atmosphere
Limited breakfast. You pay extra for egg, cappuccino , etc.
the hotel sits on top of the tube, so extremely frequent vibrations sound through the building. Kid's school playground and busses stop at the corner make together for a stressful and so not quiet stay. Management moved us to another room named GLOBE which is for disabled people. Taking a shower there soaks the complete room... Breakfast is below any standard, no choice, no service. Noise still perceptible and no view whatsoever.
The beds were excellent and I was able to turn off the heating and open a window................not always the case in London hotels.
The fact that I was allocated a room designed for wheelchair use; not a problem, other than the fact that, fortunately, I do not have to use a wheelchair and suffer no disability other than to gradual frailty of getting older! However, I am 6'4" tall and, not having arrived with an infirmity, I left with a bad back! A result of a basin which was positioned just above my knees! That is the only reason I would possibly not use the hotel again - the hotel was aware of the fact that I am very tall, because I 'phoned and told them on the morning of my arrival. When I mentioned this at check-out, they explained that the hotel was full - what that has to do with the price of fish, I have no idea!!!!
Great location, great value, nice place to stay, helpful staff.
Impossibly tiny bedrooms
Central and Close to tube Station good and healthy breakfast
Nothing in particular
Very comfortable, very helpful staff and excellent location
The noise from passing trains is noticeable.
quality of accommodation size of accommodation room facilities staff friendliness location
Very very minor points: - I would have preferred the freedom to come and go without having to buzz in - the hotel entrance wasn't well marked
One of the most tastefully furbished hotels I have ever been. Great staff.
window insulation should be better, quite a bit streetnoise
Staff were always ready to help Homely atmosphere in a very elegant setting. Scrupulously clean Walking distance to my place of business as well as to underground station and various places of interest such as the museums, Hyde Park, Harrods, to name a few.
The room was a bit too small ( narrow). There was no complimentary tea/ coffee in the room but when I asked for it, it was very quickly provided. You could get the distant rumble of the underground train every now and then till nearly midnight even though I was on the second floor
Staff Fantastic room Lounges Fantastic bathroom
Lack of tea in the room - only coffee but minor issue
It is quiet
Limited service personel. No availability of French or Italian TV channels
From the time you entered The Adria Boutique Hotel, you were treated like royality. As an interior designer, I loved looking and feeling the quality of all the elegant , posh home decor and furnishings. Our suite was quiet on 4 th floor , spacious and the comfy bed and pillows were divine. Free breakfast plus quality dinner and lunch service at your call.
As it is a old building, the only complaint was that you had to run the water for 5-10 min. before it regulated the temperature.
The Adria provided a relaxing, elegant and well-located room for us. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was spotlessly clean. If you want somewhere classically stylish and 100% comfortable the Adria is the place for you. Highly recommended.
Very comfortable bed Given a free upgrade Location is fantastic Heated bathroom floor Lovely decor
Early in the morning, realized water was not working in several rooms. While they fixed the situation rather quickly, still an inconvenience that I think they should have caught themselves. Windows impossible to open and only open a crack. I would have liked to have the fresh cool london air breezing in.
Staff, particularly Alex. Alex couldn't have been more helpful and nicer. And in a genuine manner. It is a very luxurious hotel, in a good area. I wouldn't recommend the small single room, as it is very very small. Badly designed, putting in a kitchen, when the space could have been used better. Just my opinion!
The vibrations from the tubes underneath all day until about 1am, and then starting up again around 5am. Air conditioning was never cool enough, and not good in a very small room. I can respect that it was a "dry hotel" but it stopped me eating there in the evenings - so they would have had by business if the Hotel was not "dry"
Centrally located.Few mins walk to Science museum,Underground,Restaurants.
No tea in a room.
The staff was exceptional and always willing to help. The room was spacious and well thought-out with great features and comfort. My whole experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend this hotel to all travellers.
Location is very good. Mini bar is complementary
It should be made clear this is a dry hotel
Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Felt very special from the minute we were welcomed in the drawing room and until we finished our breakfast in the restaurant the day we checked out. It was only an overnight stay but we loved the room so much we hardly wanted to leave! We were lucky enough to be in the Adria room. I was especially pleased that all my requests were able to be accommodated (a room on a higher floor, with a bath). The bathroom was sensational!! The only request that couldn't be managed was a late checkout although I am not surprised their rooms must be in high demand. They brought up a complimentary fruit basket on arrival as a gift for my partner on his birthday and even provide all the mini bar free of charge (note the Adria is a dry hotel but this was not an issue at all as we were able to bring in our own bottle of bubbly to enjoy for the birthday celebrations). I also liked the mix of cultures of the guests (I think we were the only Aussies there at the time) and last but not least because the bed was so comfortable we slept in til about 10 mins before checkout and were worried we'd missed breakfast but they continue to serve it downstairs until 12pm do we were able to enjoy the expansive selection at our leisure after we'd completed check out which I thought was really generous. Loved our stay and would have been thrilled if we could have afforded a two night stay!
My only gripe- and it is a minor one- is that I had booked the room as a surprise for my partner and was disappointed to be asked to pay the £300 charge in front of him. I would have preferred that either the rate wasn't mentioned in front of him or I has been invited to the reception desk to arrange payment so he would have been none the wiser about how much I had splurged. Because hotel rooms in London, decent ones, do not come cheap. I was happy to pay this rate but would have preferred it to remain from my partners knowledge as it was my treat for his birthday. The staff were all fantastic though and I wouldn't let a small instance like this deter anyone from booking at Adria as it really is a beautiful and unique place to stay.
The room was incredible, good location, very sweet staff.
Booking.com would do well to mention that this hotel is intended for Arab travelers, to the point that they do not serve pork or alcohol and the book in the bedside table is the Koran. More like a private guest house than a hotel, the Adria is very private and quiet, but for a non- Arab traveler, it is a funny place to stay.
Beautiful, Convenient, Great Service, Incredible WIFI
