Staff were lovely. Rooms were amazing, and those extra special touches made our stay the best experience possible. Would stay here again. Thank you very much.
Very friendly and helpful Staff. Room was comfortable with amazing views and sunsets. Good hearty breakfast and accommodating with the Menu.
Nice friendly welcome ,roomy hotel, the grandchildren enjoyed their stay, especially the DVDs to watch. We all enjoyed the meals, the breakfasts were very good. Would recommend without hesitation.
The location. The bedroom gave us a wonderful seaview and it was very peaceful, set back from the main road. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was first class and well presented. Very friendly staff.
The shower was a bit dated. You needed to step into the bath, which wasn't a problem but the shower was attached to the taps and difficult to adjust heat. Also a bit low on the wall and not easy for a taller person to shower properly.
Location was lovely beautiful views. Room clean and comfy Staff were lovely Breakfast was great Perfect for anyone
Nice touches in the room - biscuits, wide range of drinks, liqueur in room, colour scheme. Lovely waitress in the evening - chatty, efficient, pleasant. Friendly welcome from the owner. Welcome pack in bedroom - very informative. Books available for borrowing. General ambience of the place - warm, friendly, grand without being imposing or uncomfortably formal. The fork and spoon clock in the restaurant! Quality of the food.
Noise from the bar until 2am which made it difficult to sleep. Basin and shower in an alcove in the main room - lack of privacy, although there was a screen available. This was due to the dimensions of the room. Some may argue that this adds to the quirkiness and appeal - so not necessarily negative for all.
Welcoming hosts; food, including breakfast and evening meals, exceeded our expectations. Would definitely return if visiting this area.
room fantastic very clean hotel staff great will stay again
nothing to dislike
The cleanliness, the quality of our room and being well serviced. The gardens and surrounding views were beautiful. A great hotel in a beautiful location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mike Leech, Chester.

Nice friendly family run hotel with a higher than average specification
We had a room with great views, this was our secound trip to the ael y bryn.great breakfast ,owners and staff all very helpful and friendly, food is excellent, they make you feel at home, hope to return next year.
Nice place, nice staff, nice food, great breakfast, easy parking, great views.
No internet access, no mobile phone signal. Bathroom a bit dated
The room was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated to a very high standard. We particularly loved the small extra touches, like a small bottle of home-made sloe sherry in our room, and the wonderful choice at breakfast. The views are spectacular, and the was the most comfortable I have ever slept on (which made it all the harder to leave!)
Excellent food, great breakfast choice, good bar.Offered fruit & water to takeaway,a nice gesture! Great views from front.Generally quiet but does take dogs.
6 night stay in luxury room 3 let-down by dated bathroom & inadequate shower +poor toiletries.Don't expect room to be serviced everyday unless you ask!
Lovely views from the elevated position. Great choice menu, even vegetarian. Quiet location. Parking. Handy location to get to north Wales and visit all the other attractions. Close to Shell Island.
Can't think of anything!
The friendly and family atmosphere of management and staff. Went out of their way to help. Really beautiful food , generous breakfast and delicious dinners. Very comfortable room with amazing view
Nothing of any importance
Hotel very nice, staff very friendly food very good beer very good. A nice stay.
This hotel is newly owned and is dog friendly. The food was excellent, especially the breakfasts. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in away from home. The room although not large was well furnished with two comfortable chairs looking out to a beautiful view of the sea. The position of this hotel is excellent, about half way between Barmouth and Harlech, away from the crowds. We chose this hotel as it is dog friendly as we needed take our small dog. An excellent small friendly hotel.
There is only one small criticism and that is about the shower. Not very powerful, and certainly not a power shower, but it did the job.
Lovely room, well presented. Also very well presented restaurant. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I liked the little extra touches like the little bottle of fortified wine in the room and bottles of water by the bed. Also the bowl of apples at the front entrance. I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the lively bar.
The shower while being nice and warm lacked sufficient pressure-not a real problem for a short stay though.
greeted on arrival shown to our room, we were told they served evening meals, so we could relax and unwind from a busy week.
Everything was amazing - the staff was very friendly and they really took a great care of us!
We had to pay £34 more than what we had been originally told by booking.com.
Everything was amazing! The hotel, the staff, the breakfast - absolutely everything!
What we paid at the end was £34 more than the advertised price, but as I said, everything was so amazing that these £34 really are very well spent!
