Perfect location Thank you
Great stay very comfortable, good food very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
Great staff, great food, amazing location.
Having to go home.
Awesome staff who went out of their way to help out
A room near some noisy stairs
Excellent food Very comfortable bar and lounge
rooms not cleaned every day
Ideal location and bar
Doors were banging without fail gone midnight and then around 5am Over the 3 night stay, tea & coffee sachets were topped up once, baths towels changed once and bed sheets were never changed during the whole stay
Excellent location , amazing value for money, we will be back
Friendly staff, excellent facilities, very clean and good food at a reasonable price. All makes for a very enjoyable mountain bike weekend.
We had really creaky floor boards in our room, I'd hate to have had the room underneath! I hear a much needed drying room is coming soon which will be great.
Nothing except the location and the local Welsh lady who served breakfast.- and of course the location.
Surly staff who avoided ones eye and said nothing they absolutely didn't have to. The bedroom was meagre and bare with cheap fittings. The pillows needed a wash so though the cheap linen was clean the pillows weren't and each smelled different and of human smell. The waiter would have preferred me not to be there and again had an arrogant poor attitude. The room had mould under the window and general cleanliness wasn't that good. Not dirty but hardly sparkling. A 9 rating. You have to be kidding- did I stay somewhere else? Isn't it normal to be friendly when staffing somewhere like this. I wish I had slept in the car and saved myself the money. I would give it a 2 for the lovely Welsh waitress and the good but hardly great sausage and mash which was £13- And no nice lounge or sitting area that felt comfy. Absolutely nothing extra. I hope this is posted I will look out for it.
Been here twice now, staff are great food is great. There is nothing you can fault. Already looking to book next year and take my 12 year old son.
What's not to like
Had a fantastic stay at Afan Lodge Again... Staff are FANTASTIC and will take the time to get to know you by name which makes your stay more relaxing... Weather was wet but the area is GREAT for Mountain Biking and Walking what ever the weather through's at you..
what didn't i like??? Can dislike anything.. this was my 3rd visit there in 10 mnth's.
Location is ideal for Mountain biking.
General ambiance of the lodge, with friendly staff.
The last evening meals are at 8.30pm, which bearing in mind there is nowhere else to eat for many miles was a bit disappointing after a day out.
Great location and very friendly and helpful staff and definitely will recommend and visit again.
Comfort of room
Poor quality of food at evening meal
The location was excellent, the staff were great. Richard and Louise are fantastic hosts,Louises dad was full of local trail knowledge and always willing to help.Bike storage was very secure, prices were great. It was Lissa's birthday while were were there and a birthday greeting appeared on the Facebook page,a nice personal touch. The location and view are fantastic too,we will be back. Mick and Lissa.
We didn't stay long enough!!!!!
The view !
The beds are short and narrow for my lenght 6 foot, and the wifi was often out of order, and not available in the roome, only in the bar.
Close to the Afan trails
Fantastic location for access to all the Afan trails. Safe bike lockup & a good bar & restaurant to retire to after some bike & personal TLC!!
After checking out on the Sunday & having a very muddy 24k blast before the long drive home, I had to shower in the car park using the bike wash hose. A shower in the bike lockup would've been a luxury
Great accommodations for mountainbiking, staff knows all about The area, good food, nice bar, good atmosphere
The only thing we missed are washing/drying facilities for your dirty mtb clothes
The hotel was clean and the staff were very welcoming. The food was of a high standard and plentiful. I will stay here again and again.
Great spot for keen cyclists, and a good base to return to.
Staff were excellent - Foods is good
Beds are a little short -
Perfect for mountain biking with excellent trails so close by and a great breakfast to set you up for riding them. Very helpful and friendly staff too.
Very little, just a wet room that lived up to its name after a shower.
