Had a great stay,people very friendly and it was a great location never slept so well.

Friendly staff, great food and accommodation, plus it's right near the Afan MTB trail centre

No nightclub on the premises.

Fantastic staff, couldn't do enough to help. I have not stayed someone with such good service in a long time, this is a clear strength. Very knowledgeable about local trails. Accommodated special request for breakfast. Great bike store. Fabulously large room (why not put in King size beds?). Liked the black out curtains.

The rooms were not serviced daily - I would expect this for a hotel in this price bracket. Only one complimentary shower gel for two people, not replaced during stay. Wifi not available in the bedrooms as claimed on the website - please be honest about this. Cooked breakfast did not taste as though it had been made from the quality ingredients I would expect at a hotel in this price range. Disappointinly small portion of lasagne in the restaurant one evening - the food seemed expensive for the quality. Brushes/clothes for cleaning bikes would be a useful addition.

Location is excellent for the Afan MTB trials.

Limited menu in the resturnat, quality of food was average.

It has to be said, this is a truly wonderful place to stay. No paper thin walls, hard beds and noise here. If your're on business and you've had a hard day and want to relax this is where you need to be. If you like the thrill of mountain biking and want some scary trails - this is the IN place to stay. The owners & staff can't do enough for you, the views are spectacular and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in! It might be a few miles out of Port Talbot but it's well worth it. I'm a business traveller and have been to some really dodgy places, but hand on heart this is the best place I've ever stayed. So, all you Business & Mountain bikers you really need to check this place out. Believe me, you won't be disappointed.

The staff were so nice at afan lodge and were very accommodating...we hadn't realised breakfast was included with the price so missed it but they catered for us anyway...food was great, all in all great weekend, great staff, we were the only couple so they gave us the best room the 'Richard Burton' room, we had a great time, we were sad to leave

Wonderful staff, who do everything they can to help you enjoy your break. As we are both keen mountain bikers, this was the main purpose of our trip - and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Afan Lodge as a fantastic base to explore the Afan trails.

The staff always make me feel very welcome. The country side is lovely, quite a departure from what most people think of when one thinks of Port Talbot. As drive up the winding road into the valley, all the work stress stays behind....

Excellent location for mountain bike riding in the Afan Forest,great accommodation, facillities, reasonable rates, excellent service, local knowledge and advice. Will be staying there again and reccommending it to others.

The staff were fine and friendly, modern and clean room fittings, good heating, and best full breakfast and hot water availability I have had in Wales!. Great countryside location.

Advertised free WiFi is available in bar / restaurant but not in rooms. Location great for picturesque summer evenings but too distant from Port Talbot business meetings in the Winter because of dark winter nights and poorly lit roads.

Staff were brilliant. Helpful and friendly. Great location.

Duvets on Single beds a bit small so kept slipping off

Great hotel, very friendly and accomodating staff. Perfect for a MTB weekend, My 9 year old son rated the hotel as 'AWESOME'

No facilities in the surrounding area, you need to to Swansea, which is not far
