Afton Hotel  

Came to visit my son and grandchildren - he has a flat in the next road. Afton Hotel was clean and comfortable and very good for a two star.

I stayed in a very small single room, The furnishings were very dated and a little shabby too. Mind you in relation to the price it was very good.

Convenient, Breakfast good,staff well presented,didn't have time to chat them up!!may be next time if we can do a holiday deal,,sorry got turned down for evening meal my R.A.f Commandant would have taken dim view if he knew,however didn't go hungry. Keep smiling.

The Afton Hotel is great value for money. Friendly staff and a fantastic location.

The local on street parking, can be a problem to find a space. But the hotel can not really do anything about this.

I had a good sized twin room all to myself,room was very clean and en suite,shower good,efficient staff and freindly,the decor and apperance was very nice,hotel in central location opposite pier,breakfast good.I Paid £30 & with petrol on top made it an affordable weekend break. I would stay again for another fishing weekend if price stays the same

Nothing much, for a longer stay parking could be a problem,parking along the road is free after 6.00pm to 8.00am and then £2.00 for 2hr maxium stay

the fact that you could take the dogs with you is an important factor the rooms were nice clean linen and facilities in the room were good]breakfast staff were fine and service was good

the hotel was one of the noisiest hotels ever the reception staff were never there even when you pressed the bell especially the women the men were better,the cleaning staff were so loud outside the room the lift is noisy

Really accommodating to all my needs. I was in Eastbourne for the half marathon and was particularly pleased to be offered a lift to the starting line.

Nothing really. It might be helpful if there were details of meal times available and what food and activities are on offer. However the staff were so friendly that you could easily approach them for suggestions.

I could only recommend this hotel as the staff are friendly and so helpful . Would definitely go back there, value for money. Fantastic.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Afton and, again, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. I booked for 3 days and then decided to stay another 3 days rather than travel to London (I had a week's holiday in England and live in France) They provided an excellent breakfast and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The location is ideal, being near to the sea-front, and I had a sea view from my window on the 3rd floor. I would recommend the Afton Hotel to anyone wshing to stay in Eastbourne.

It was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. It is a lovely hotel and a bargain at the price. And didn't charge a single supplement. A gem of a hotel in a very good location.

My room was bright and comfortable - good breakfast. Helpful staff.

My room was located at the front directly over looking the pier. Sadly, the only night I stayed was Wednesday night and that was the night of the night club on the pier - loads of running kids, police, shouting, drunkards, and all this went on until 2am. So no sleep until then! If I had been warned about this before hand then I would have refused the room and taken one at the back of the hotel. This completely ruined what originally seemed to be a very pleasant night's stay. I will not return!

The Afton Hotel is very resonably priced and has an excellent location very near the pier at Eastbourne. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfasts good. Thank you. The hotel parking permit was useful and well priced.

Located directly opposite the pier with a seaview from our room. Good bar with reasonably priced beers, we only stopped for two nights but entertainment was provided in the bar on both nights.

Although breakfast was satisfactory and served quite quickly, upon entering the large dining room we discovered that our name had been placed on a particular table however with no master table plan one had to spent time scouring the room to find your specific table. Once we were settled it was quite amusing watching staff and guests wandering around the room trying to find their tables.
