The rooms were very comfortabel and the staff warm the freindly. The location was excellent - next to the York Minster. The breakfast was superb! Nothing very bad the only points I would mention are that the rooms are quite small and their was no ironing board. |

The staff were fairly friendly, and the location of the hotel was ideal for walking into York centre There were a few cracks in the ceiling, several lights were not working in the room, and the chairs throughout the hotel were not stable: the legs had not been attached properly |

The breakfast was one of the best i have ever had. Getting in every time with a code was a nightmare, as the numbers were small and some times no light on to see them |

City centre very accessible within walking distance. The central heating was off after 8.30am and didn't come back on until late afternoon therefore the room was cold during the day and meant you could not spend time there.Given the cost of the room the heating should be on all day. |

The location was fantastic and the self service style check in was very easy. All people have to do is give the hotel a call during reception hours for the simple instructions. |

hotel was close to city centre, tastefully decorated ,very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely good value. unfortunately our rooms were on the top floor and the last set of stairs were very narrow and steep, definitely not ideal for unfit over 50's like us! |

Breakfast was delicious, stoking one's atom furnace for much of the day. Hosts were pleasant but not intrusive. Area was quiet and just minutes away from city center. As Americans, we were puzzled about the duvet concept without a top sheet. We are used to sleeping with a top sheet. It was warm one evening, the duvet was too warm, and without a covering, it was a little cool. |
