Meal was lovely
Heating not being turned off in room when asked..bed was extremely uncomfortable..pillows brick hard.
Rooms need updating,and redecorating.
Easy to get to. Friendly, helpful staff.
Free wifi didn't extend to the bedrooms. Decor needed refreshing in bedrooms and corridors. Changing room facilities in spa needed updating.
Food was brilliant
Wifi was terrible
Staff were so helpful and food was amazing
Located in a poor room despite booked 7 weeks in advance. Paid a lot of money and was situated next to a wedding party. Customer service appalling
Poor room with lots of noise next to it. Despite highlighting this staff did nothing
Happy staff and excellent food at the restaurant.
Leisure facilities require upgrading which I understand is planned in the coming months (March 2015). Changing rooms far too small for size of facility.
The food was excellent as were the staff. Was also very clean.
No wifi except in some public areas and even there the speeds weren't great. Pity there was no reception at the Castle.
Food and service during dinner were excellent
Reception very poor, booking in slow, booking out chaos. Morning breakfast very bad. Sat for 10 min before someone walked past, even then had to grab them to ask for tea and coffee.
Good hotel over all can't fault it for a place to stay
but for a place to do some business not so good - terribel phone reception and WIFI pretty basic.
Liked our free upgrade into the main castle great staff very friendly
Due to the fact they are changing menu we thought the food was not off usual standards
Great food - delicious and well presented. Both dinner and breakfast. Common areas give the hotel a 4* feel.
Bedrooms in the main stable block were rather tired. eg bath chipped, curtain fell off, previous repairs done cheaply, minor damage to walls and scuff marks all around the hotel, etc. Felt 2*. The main photo shows the castle but reception desk, leisure and restaurant all in stables block 1 min walk away.
Food excellent. Staff helpful and friendly Enjoyed pool area. Near local sights....Kelpies Falkirk wheel .
Wi if was very slow or non existent. No entertainment in the evenings. Not much in the grounds to see. Restricted lounge areas, difficult to find a place to relax other than room. On our second night the hotel had a private event on , so there was very little areas free to use.
Great location Food and service was excellent both evening and breakfast enjoyed the haggis!
Wifi was poor none in rooms and the general aras were weak Bed was to hard fror my personal liking
Everything the pictures online do not represent the room I was given
The staff throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, and the 2 night package was superb value for money.
There were some parts of the hotel that could benefit from upgrading e.g. the spa bath in our room did not work and there were missing light shades.
Location was lovely
Evening meal was average,, expensive for what it is,, my steal which I asked for medium was burnt,,
A lovely atmosphere in the hotel, staff were really helpful and the evening meal was absolutely amazing. Pool, jacuzzi etc was very relaxing and grounds had a short 20min walk to enjoy.
The room was quite basic ( although at a discounted rate not a problem) and they let a child into the pool area after 6:30pm when the signs stated all children out for 6pm.
Staff were exemplary, food very good.
An over-large party of badly behaved "guests" - not exactly the fault of the hotel but it spoilt one night of our stay, ie arguments, shouting, etc. at 2 a.m., and resulted in an uncomfortable restaurant at breakfast. Not the environment we remembered from previous visits. Otherwise a good place to stay.
Christmas party night was good
Castle rooms freezing. no hot water first night. Service poor. Staff unhelpful.
The friendly staff. The facilities. We hope to come back.
One of our waiters at dinner was a bit hashy. Knocked the pepper pot over, cutlery pushed aside when delivering orders and my soup plate had finger marks all round the rather large edge. The housecoats delivered to our room had no belts. When we asked for belts we were promised a delivery of coats with belts. They didn't arrive. We just gave up as we could manage without them. The sink in our room had a defective plug. We had to be careful we didn't drop anything down the plug hole.
Friendly staff, great surroundings, brilliant venue
The food was excellent
No walk in shower.difficult for older persons getting the bath.
the pool was lovely.
I thought we were going to be staying in the castle and not a hotel.
getting away from the city for a night.
not being offered the chance to book dinner for us prior to our arrival.
