The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Especially the night shift at the reception. The rooms was very clean. The bed was comfortable.
If you stay at the ground floor you have the noise of the other clients who pass through the hall to go for brekfast. The other floors are very quiet. I had two reservations and the agreement was to pay when i was arriving to the Hotel. They have tried to charge me the first night of the second reservation at my credit card that i had paid the first reservation without ask me.
Did not have lift, it difficult to carry big suitcase up to the third floor.
breakfast room was like a hostel.
Close to Victoria station. Clean. Friendly. Bathroom equipment good. Wifi no problem. Breakfast very adequate. Another 'hit' for booking.com
Three floors with no lift. Actually, I did not mind this at all but I need to mention it for others. This may be part of the reason its good value. Decor tired in places
Perfect location, clean room and friendly staff
The room was a bit small
Location and price
Tacky lobby and stairs.
Stained carpets, overcrowded breakfast room, run down and shabby appearance.
Location was very convenient from Victoria station and national express bus station
Bed too close to window as curtain hung over the bed and moved every time you moved when sleeping. Bathroom was very small, sink was tiny
Staff was friendly and helpfull.
Room was Tiny for a twin, in a 4th floor, no elevator, too noisy.
Good location Reasonable price
No lift and 4 floors Room on the top floor very hot and noisy when window was open
No iron :(
Room was reasonably furnished, the location was excellent central London was well within walking distance, and the Apollo theatre was a ten minute walk.
They started drilling in the room above around 8am which doesn't help a lie in! I didnt complain about this as Staff came across as quite cold and disinterested. And the breakfast was a bit rubbish (the croissants were stale and there wasn't a wide range of food to choose from).
3 blocks from Victoria Station Continental Breakfast with EXCELLENT coffee Quiet Street Safe Neighborhood Fan in room
Room on the 3rd floor, no elevator room was warm needed more pillowcases (didn't provide) for extra pillows
Clean sheets on beds
*The staff were rude. *The room was terrible:-Located in the basement, carpets smelled, shower tiles were filthy. *Noisy:- Room was located across from the dining area, woken at 6.30 by staff and guests in the dining area. *Check out was at 10.30. *Told to leave the breakfast area (whilst eating) at 9.55 when breakfast was meant to be served until 10.00. *Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
People smoking outside my room twice. I had booked 5 nights but left after 3 nights of sleep deprivation
Location excellent -the look of the propert was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very small but clean and sufficient and although the breakfast room was more like a canteen it was clean and continental breakfast adequate. All in all it met our needs and we would use it again - but as for recommending it - that depends on individual requirements
Carpets on stairs well worn and stained.rooms small but adequate and must remember you are in the centre of London with easy reach of coach and rail station so one outweighed the other
very tine room with no service , doesnt look like the pics that you see at booking.com
manager changed our room staff pleasant
Booked a twin room but it was very very small and could not open the wardrobe doors. As one of the bottom of the beds was stopping it from opening.Bathroom was tiny tiny also. We asked if we could change rooms and they accommodated us the following day. Breakfast ok but tables set out so no-one could pass once seated. Carpets dirty on landings.
Updated rooms, cleanliness and free wifi
lots of stairs as was on top floor
Cramped rooms. No air conditioning. Cramped breakfast room
It was a horrible experience.we were placed in the 4th floor no elevator and the room was small and poor ventilation.we were riasting hot and we only have very small fan.window is too small.we asked for another fan but didnt have any.we opted to check out very early as expected bec we couldnt take the heat.the staff were not accomodating and the lady staff is horrible.wifi not good
Porter help us to carry our luggage
the beds ere very comfatable and the was clean and well presented. on the 5th floor with no lift.
the breakfast was the worst experiance me and my wife have had in a hotel. the room was too small for the amount of guests. the staff didnt speak English very well. no tea, long life ham and croisants, watered down fruit juice. like being in a packed tube train during rush hour eating your so called breakfast.
The Hotel is within walking distance for the 'Hop on Hop off ' buses, for Victoria underground and red buses. There are many cafe's and the area felt 'safe'. It is a very busy area for traffic but easy to get around. We found the 'Hop on Hop off ' buses were excellent and we felt worth the money, even for the two day's we were in the London.
The breakfast arrangements were very poor, one small room with tables set out in rows. Visitors had to push past other diners to get a seat. There were not enough tables, seats, for the amount of people at the hotel. Our second morning was so bad we had to wait in reception, [could have gone back to our room of course], until the dining room emptied sufficiently for us to get a table. Our bedroom was not double glazed and was facing a very busy crossroads, with traffic lights, it was not easy to get to sleep until the early hours and the traffic had abated.
Good location, reasonable price
No lifts and many steps
The staircase to the rooms was awful...hugely stained and very in need of decoration. The room was supposed to be double but bed was in alcove with no bedside tables. Room clean but VERY small.
