The Hotel is within walking distance for the 'Hop on Hop off ' buses, for Victoria underground and red buses. There are many cafe's and the area felt 'safe'. It is a very busy area for traffic but easy to get around. We found the 'Hop on Hop off ' buses were excellent and we felt worth the money, even for the two day's we were in the London.
The breakfast arrangements were very poor, one small room with tables set out in rows. Visitors had to push past other diners to get a seat. There were not enough tables, seats, for the amount of people at the hotel. Our second morning was so bad we had to wait in reception, [could have gone back to our room of course], until the dining room emptied sufficiently for us to get a table. Our bedroom was not double glazed and was facing a very busy crossroads, with traffic lights, it was not easy to get to sleep until the early hours and the traffic had abated.
Good location, reasonable price
No lifts and many steps
The staircase to the rooms was awful...hugely stained and very in need of decoration. The room was supposed to be double but bed was in alcove with no bedside tables. Room clean but VERY small.
rude staff there was no lift and my room was on floor 4 overall very poor
Location was good and reception staff were good. Nice breakfast
Top floor and shower wouldnt turn off and asked breakfast sta ff a question but she didnt seem to understand me and dining area was too small for the amount of people
Proximity to Victoria bus station
Underground bedroom under street level for too high price
Breakfast was poor
Location was quite good for travel around central London
Floor boards creaked and kept us awake for a while. Decor is a bit tired but it was a comfortable no frills bolt hole for a night whilst visiting the theatre.
Good location and very close to Victoria station. Nice beds and fair cleaning standard. Nice and very helpful reception staff.
The family room for 4 is very small - but it is a place to sleep. Breakfast was rather plain. Due to many guests wanting to eat between 8.30 and 9.30 the logistics and size of the breakfast room was a challenge for the staff.
The beds were comfortable, room and bathroom were clean.
The shabby look of the place in general, especially the thread bare carpets on the stairs. The breakfast was ok but the waitress staff were quite rude and unhelpful.
The room was too small and dirty. The receptionist was unhelpful.
Need more Choice for breakfast
Excellent location, pleasant and helpful reception personnel, nice breakfast selection
no air conditioning, limited space for 3 suitcases and 4 adults, very slow shower drain, breakfast personnel not friendly
Location wifi staff adapter breakfast
Noises from ground floor
Excellent location, right next to Victoria coach station
Pleasant reception staff 24 hour access Room was fine with kettle and tea/coffee Nice big shower
Dining room is OK but pretty basic
Having to leave key card at reception, this winds me up! When I've had a drink ect, and I have to get buzzed into hotel, and wait 5 mins for receptionist to find my key card!!
Bed, cleanliness, naffi style breakfast, stairs, furniture
Comfy bed Wifi free
Narrow stairs TV cable broken Hot water took 10 mins to come through in shower Breakfast very poor for £80 hotel
Close to Victoria station Near Chelsea cafés Close to great restaurants in Wilton street Leisurely walk to Thames
On going renovations were badly needed but my room had been done so was happy about that. The hallways were dreadful but hopefully they will be replaced in the near future
It should have stated on the site that there was no lift and I had 82 stairs to climb. They were excellent with sending a porter very promptly. Breakfast room was tight for space and definitely could have been improved. I would stay there again and the staff and tghe locationwere excxellent
breakfast room and no breakfast staff interaction when I asked for toast I got no reply it felt they did not understand..
Good location, close to underground station (10 min walk), public secured car park in location 5 min walking distance (£24 per 24h).
No lifts, very narrow staircase made it difficult to carry a big luggage to the 3rd floor. Narrow corridors. Parts of décor around the hotel heavily damaged, in need for maintenance. Poor breakfast and breakfast room looking more like staff canteen at work place then in 3 star hotel. No air con in the room so had to keep the window open over night allowing the noise from the street in. The complementary map of London we received from the reception was not up to date, one of the city attractions relocated and it caused a confusion on the day of the visit to attraction.
The location was ok
Poor attitude of the night staff. They said we were not booked in when we got in at almost 12pm. We had drunk a lot and just wanted the key to our beds! Very unhelpful I'm afraid
Clean and good location !!
No A/C, No Lifts, Small, Very Poor breakfast
