Good location.. Basic Family guest house type establishment. Higher end of price range for what was basic (but clean) establishment, however it does have a very nice bar restaurant area. Rooms a little dated but in fairness clean.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel is as its name implies, the creation of a man who loves ships and the sea. There are images and parts of sailing boats scattered around the public areas. We loved the atmosphere. The dining room blends well with the pub area and views of the sea are available from almost anywhere. The food was excellent. The hotel does not pretend to be first class, but it is perfectly adequate unless you are hyper picky. For the price I do not think you could expect much more than what is on offer. We would happily return if we needed acccomodation in this area.

The hotel seems a gem of a find since it was a local pub as well as a very nice hotel and restaurant, what more could one want, and had a great sea view! I find beds with sheet and eiderdown terribly uncomfortable (and unhygienic) why don't they use duvets with their individual covers?

The hotel was very good value for money and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very well presented and nicely cooked. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was conveniently situated for car parking and walks by the sea. The tea making facilities were disappointing as the cups and the kettle were designed for leprechauns. More teabags and milk were needed.

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the staff who were polite and friendly. The room I was sharing with my Daughter was spotless and more than comfortable with lovely seaviews. We ate a supurb and reasonably priced meal in the pub/resturant in the evening and then breakfast that was included in the price of the room, the following morning before setting off for my Daughters graduation in Chichester. A nice restful time had by all made even better as the staff at the Navigator were just so lovely.

The situation of the hotel is good and we enjoyed the sea view from our room. The room was looked after well and kept clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food was excellent and well cooked and value for money. The only downside to our stay was that a radiator just outside our room was on full during this very hot period and we were unable to turn it down.

Nothing, it was awful. It is a noisty boozy pub, with drunk customers at 16:00. Dreadful bedroom, above the bar no facilities.

Lovely spacious room, and extra seating with sea view made it even better. Room was warm and well furnished. Although above a pub, the noise was not excessive,so easy to sleep. All staff very friendly, and helpful. Breakfast far better than expected. All food well presented and served very hot. Perfect position to enjoy the sea view and to stroll into town. Only 10 minutes drive from Chichester, so a good base. Will definitely stay again. Although the food was good, it was a little over priced.

We stayed over the Xmas period whilst visiting an elderly relative. It was perfect for what we wanted, we had a lovely walk along the seafront on Xmas morning and a stroll at midnight. The staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was good and served in a room with a good view of the seafront. For the price I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I didn't like was that although our room was at the back of the hotel, so not over the bar, we did find that there was a sound, possibly the extractor fans or central heating that did on the first night keep us awake a little.

The staff are a massive credit to the business, in fact I have been working around the country for the past 6 years and in the time this is the best place I have stoped, the staff are all great and can't do enough for you, the rooms are of excellent quality for the price we paid, and the food is great as well. Great find I hope I'm working in the area again soon The only thing I could possible say was there was only one spate pillow in a room with 2 single beds there could of been 2, very small detail though for such a great stay

Thought we'd booked a standard room but got a budget one! It was a bit poky with no view but the bed was ok. Not enough milk cartons on the tea tray. We looked at the other rooms in the morning and would have preferred a sea view. Very nice breakfast and nice service. The waitress changed the cereal milk which was 'off' without any complaints and apologised. Nice view from the dining room. Nice place and location - the evening meals looked ok too but we were too late. All in all, pretty good value.

Location excellent, easy to find. The rooms were clean and bed very comfortable loved the cotton sheets. The food was of a very good standard and something for everyone to enjoy, busy restaurant, service a little bit erratic on first night.but wworth the wait. Not just this hotel, but you book a double room but there is only one chair, so if you want to be in your room in the evening one person has to sit on the bed?? a mystery
