The fact that they said Full English Breakfast, without telling you that it was only at weekends. Continental from Monday to Friday. Stating car parking, but it held only five cars and if you were the first in, you had to wait for others to move before you could get out. The worst thing was the highly dangerous stairs. Four sets of stairs for 18 rooms, and they were all so steep. Added to that, the treads did not comply with the national standard and you could not put a complete foot on each step unless you went up and down sideways. This was difficult with cases and if you slipped, you would slide all the way down again. So bad for anyone, but especially for disabled or elderly. How on earth they have a health and safety certificate, I will never know!
The owner is super friendly, rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Parking wasn't great, on a residential street so it was potluck whether you got a space really.
Room 9b as there was a lot of noises coming from the plumbing
Very friendly and helpful staff Room and bathroom was clean and tidy Private parking Breakfast Price
The room I had was near the main road which is busy at night, didn't affect me much but if you're sensitive to noise avoid a room facing the road The pillow was more hard than what I'm used to, if you like soft pillows I advise bringing your own
The owners were very helpfull, the room was satisfactory for a short visit.
Did exactly what I needed it to do. It was basic but I just needed a roof over my head for the night at a decent price.
Ideal location only a quarter of a mile from Sheffield Speedway at Owlerton Stadium.
Initially the price
On reflection it should have been priced around £20
the staff there are really friendly.
very narrow parking area.
Staff were very friendly and always helpful.
The stairs were a nightmare! Very steep!!
I went to Sheffield for running at Sheffield Trail Rush 15.2 mile in Graves Park. I enjoyed and I will do back again. Thank you and good luck. Kind Regards Jesus Baltasar Muro Barroso
The mattress wasn't very comfortable and the place wasn't very clean.
Lovely, helpful staff and manager.
It can be a bit noisy, as the B&B is situated on a main road.
Person who did the check-in was friendly. Place was clean. Location was good for what we wanted.
This is supposed to be a bed-and-breakfast. Breakfast was not included in the price - you had to pay £5 extra. There was a charge for using a credit card and this was not shown on the booking form. "Your card may be pre-authorised" meant that they took 25% off prior to the booked date. I would not recommend the place because of these negative points.
goop price good breakfast friendly staff
not a lot
Cheap and exceptionally friendly. For the price, can't complain.
Location but not much they can do about that.
Not very good first impression, but staff was nice and fairly clean place. Ok if you're looking for a cheap stay, for 1 or 2 nights. I went on business on my own, so not that bothered.
Place has a funny smell, breakfast was poor - watery scrambled eggs, I was served instant coffee instead of a filtered one, tap in bedroom sink was broken. Would not recommend it for a couple or long stay, unless you're not fussy about anything!
V friendly and helpful staff. Parking available and good comfy bed.
A basic B&B with shared bathroom facilities. Not a criticism - we were aware of this when we booked. Good value for money.
over priced, not ensuite which was embarrassing since it wasn't obvious at point of sale, beds unclean I would never return here it was more like a youth hostel than a B+B
Value for money, much cheaper than anywhere else I found. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, though in need of a makeover. Not too far from the centre 6 -10 pounds in taxi each way, which can add up if staying for any long period so something to consider. Good selection of tv channels. I would recommend based on value and friendly staff.
There were times i couldn't find any member of staff (when checking out for example) with a taxi waiting outside. The stairs are dangerously steep which is precarious especially carrying luggage. The shower and toilets were shared which i wasn't aware of until the day. I ordered a single bedroom, however there was infact 3 beds in my room, which was fine just filled up the room with beds. There was no shower gel or shampoo supplied, which is fine however as i wasn't aware of it until I got there I found myself unprepared.
The shower was filfy, the rooms smell, kettle needs cleaning .I would not stay here again.
Made to feel welcome on my arrival. Single room small, but warm. TV had lots of channels.
The stairs up to my room were very steep. Room very basic. Needs refurbishing.
Adequate for my needs. Should I need to I would use again.
Stayed 1 night due to working in the area thought the owner was very pleasent and helpful and the place was clean and tidy and good value for money would definitely stay again
Was in room on top floor and the b&b had free WiFi but couldn't access it from top floor signal Was to weak could of done with something to boost the signal so all floors could use it
Staff very helpfull, considerate and good natured. Wi-Fi good and fast. Rooms and (separate) bathroom clean. Would be very useful if you were going to Hillsborough for a match as it is practically next door.
The location was by a very busy dual carriage way with not the most inspiring of views. Did not really make you feel like talking a walk into town. It is about £9 taxi journey but I think you can get a bus. To be fair this is a fine place to stay for business but maybe not for a romantic weekend? ;-)
