This Victorian property is placed between Sheffield Wednesday FC’s Hillsborough Stadium and a quiet, tree-lined park. ALARA Bed and Breakfast offers free Wi-Fi, free parking, and freshly cooked breakfasts served every morning. Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast made to order. Cute rooms. Very accommodating staff. Very cute dog in residence. Very steep and narrow stairs, but that is just part of the old house.

Off road parking Toilet on next floor down.Stairs too steep and are dangerous. Radiator would not turn off and was right next to the side of the bed. The room only vaguely represented its picture. This place is more like the places used by social housing. Bacon sandwich was inedibly Would definitely not recommend to anyone. I feel I was cheated out of my money and should be reimbursed at least half of their charge

The fact that they took a last minute booking, the politeness of the staff and the great breakfast that a lovely lady cooked for me. The shared toilets and shower room was down stairs along a narrow hallway, The bedding had stains on it, and I found what looked like a bed bug crawling on my pillow. I felt felt uncomfortable and felt like crap in the morning. This is a 2 star at best.

Breakfast was good. It was like sleeping on a motorway really noisy and stairs very steep. Bottom bed sheet dirty ending up sleeping on a towel.

The price and location was excellent, could not really complain for £35.00 a night. The hotel is basic but its clean and the bed was comfortable and I have stayed there twice now and would stay again. And the breakfast (full english) was nice.

Convenient for where I was spending my time during the evening, helpful staff and a big breakfast in the morning. It's a tired place that certainly reflects its low price tag, if you book here expect a 'rough and ready' building. Clean but quite run down.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My room was changed without notice - but was ok, as we were given a family room with 3 beds for the price of a twin. I showered early next morning and found it excellent. Breakfast was superb.. Found the room noisier than we'd like - traffic noise. Everything clean, but a bit tired and in need of decoration. My wife was slightly unwell with a cold, but when she went for a shower at about 9.25, there wasn't any hot water. The lady of the house apologised and turned the hot water on again, but by that time my wife was already dry - but fed up. Fairly easy to find and fairly useful location.

Friendly staff explained things well, very good english breakfast in morning and the option of pack breakfast to take great. Parking not to bad but if you out early need to ensure you park well. Comfortable room had the basics you require (sink, bed, TV, tea facilities and warm) for the price good. If you have big luggage then you may need assistance getting them up the stairs as they are steep, could do with a small shower in the room (space for one).
