Very friendly owners and cooked breakfast was excellent
Did not use small kettle in my room as it was mouldy on the bottom
Fantastic cooked breakfasts and friendly staff, the bathrooms are shared but there was always one available and they were big and clean. Great location within an easy 5 - 10 minute walk of all the sights
A chair and desk in the room would have made it more comfortable and easier to use the kettle for making hot drinks
We have "wasted" one night there. We couldn't sleep because the owner gave us a room beside the bathroom, and it was really noisy. Each time that someone went into the bathroom was like raining on my ear...and I felt like if my own bedroom was opening and closing all the time. We couldn't sleep all over the night. We told that to the owner, and he didn't gave us a solution...He said that we didn't understand each other because we speak different languages, but I think that I have enough level to understand everyone that want to be understood...
New,sparklingly clean good location. Excellent choice and amount of breakfast. Great tasting coffee with lots of refills.
Shared facilities meant wet towels in room but nowhere to put them. Huge wardrobe using valuable floor space would be better served as a desk and shelf with a few wall hooks and a couple of towel rails. Also kettle precariously balanced on tiny bedside cabinet.
Newly furnished and great bathrooms
A little bit of a walk to the train station
very clean, good value for money, breakfast to the highest standard.Location fantastic for all tourist attractions and in walking distance. Please do Bath Comedy Walk,(Bizarre Bath).
Very clean. Breakfast very well cooked and plenty of it.
Having to leave accommodation to walk for breakfast.
The Albany is a very warm, friendly, excellently placed venue...and it is truly value for money! Me and my wife were that impressed with quality and value that we have returned to the Albany to visit Bath for a second time! A great place...rate it very highly!
The negative that I would comment on is that on one night ONLY, we had a very loud couple who choose to have a shower early in morning 1:00am! This was the only inconvenience, but did not happen on subsequent nights!
Good price, good location, clean and nice breakfast.
Kettle didn't work but they were very apologetic, hallway noise from guests (doors slamming).
Rooms are brand new and everything is very cleaned. Breakfast was excellent and all the food was fresh. Staff is lovely and ready to help you if needed. Also you got a 10% discount for some attractions or shops (we used it for the roman bath and in a cafe).
The only negative note are the walls. They are thin and especially for the room next to the bathroom is quite a problem at night if someone decide to have a shower. So if you need a noiseless place ask for the other rooms far from the bathroom.
Huge choices at breakfast. Everyone catered for. Lovely bathrooms.
Shame each bathroom shared with up to 10 others. Should be max 5 for each. Need aircon/fan in bedroom. Unbearably hot. If open window, then unbearably noisy from traffic and gulls! Rooms too cramped.
Comfortable stay, friendly, welcoming staff & an alround good service
modern bathrooms, clean rooms, breckfast included, which was wonderful with large range of continental type stuff, and full english, loved the small pieces of fried bread, just enough to enjoy the taste, but not too much to feel guilty, great idea. the guest house is spread over two houses on the same street, and shared bathrooms, but very central to bath, we booked last minute, so next time would book earlier for larger room.
dispite a fan in the room, had trouble sleeping due to heat and traffic, no ones fault, as soon as hot weather over would stay again
The location is excellent except that it is along a noisy road. The breakfast was VERY abundant and delicious. The staff was super nice.
We were in room 3, in the first floor above the ground floor, with a window heading to the road. The road was busy even late at night, which made our room extremely noisy. The problem was that it was a very hot week, and we had to sleep with the window open. The first day I had some trouble sleeping, so the second day I asked the staff for a fan to be able to close the window and sleep well refrigerated, and they brought one RIGHT AWAY, and that night I could sleep perfectly. If I had asked for this before, I would have nothing to say in the negative chart.
location close to city centre; breakfast and helpful staff; new bathroom and pleasant clean room
bathroom was shared and you take your chances with how other guests leave it; from Albany 33 you have to walk to number 24 for breakfast (not very far!)
Friendly and very clean.central location and parking
No sitting areas to relax and chat to other guests.
The breakfast was wonderful. Bath and room were immaculate. Owners were very nice and very helpful.
Very close to centre of Bath for walking. Bathroom that we shared was very modern and state of the art. There was another bathroom upstairs that we could use too so sharing really wasn'tt a problem. Breakfast was delicious and breakfast was beautifully decorated.
The room was a little bit small for the price we paid but we had free parking on site.
Really welcoming and nice room, clean.
A bit hard to find in the first place. Sometimes it can be a bit noisy as the walls aren't really soundproof but it's not a problem if the others tenants are quiet.
Newly refurbished, state of the art bathroom and bedrooms. Beautiful house, lovely interior décor and spotlessly clean and new.
We had an amazing time at this B&B. The owners were lovely and beyond helpful. The breakfast buffet had anything you wanted (fresh fruit, fresh bread, muesli, yoghurt, full English breakfast, etc.). You will love this place!
Rooms good size every thing in them you needed for a short stay. Well situated to town and spar, walking distance. Breakfast very good, good selection & cooked part served nice and hot. Everyone friendly and helpful.
When we arrived 'no note on door' telling us to go to B&b at no. 24. It did rain a little while we waited but after exploring Knocked on right door (no. 24) and booked as arranged. Enjoyed our stay and will come back again in the future. Thanks from all of us that stayed.
Location, decor, cleanliness.
No access to water in the room, noisy road, no ensuite bathroom, shared toilets and showers with other rooms, breakfast was 100 yards down the street.
Newly renovated rooms and bathrooms. Full breakfast included. Approximately 5 minute walk to the Cresent and 10 minute walk to the Roman Baths and town center. Parking available behind hotel.
Guests are required to share the bathroom with other rooms on the floor.
We didn't expect that much after reading the reviews. Yet, what we had in Albany 33 was exceptional. Room was clean. Shared Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was amazing, not to mention the beautiful breakfast room. If you are still hesitating whether to book or not, just click the bottom. Albany 33 is great!
Kettle in the room was a bit filthy though. Still, found it the same in other inns.
