Steeped in history and surrounded by 10 acres of gardens, Passford House Hotel lies midway between the New Forest village of Sway and the Georgian town of Lymington.

Overlooking a 20-acre lake, and in 17 acres of grounds, this 4-star hotel has an indulgent spa and free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Lakeside Park Hotel offers dining options with picturesque views....

Situation and large room
The place especially mours rooms were of a Very High standard. The Old dear was well impressed :-)
Having to hunt for the Reception Staff, who were aways away...
It was very quiet and comfortable.
I would have appreciated a detailed map of the Freshwater and Yarmouth area including the Needles, and more information about the bus system i.e. southern vectis bus route map and timetables which I later found online. To get back I should have walked to Sainsbury's in Freshwater to take the bus from there to Yarmouth. This I only found out later after a long wait. The exterior of the hotel facing the English Channel could do with painting again.
Location, parking, friendly staff.
Food had to be pre booked to eat on site. There was no mention of this in the original booking. I ended up having to organise a takeaway... Not ideal.
Lovely large bedroom and bathroom with a sea view
No choice other than the set 3 course dinner at a price, so went elsewhere
absolutely loved this place ! Amazing double room, with bath and shower, a lot of space, heated floor, balcony and view of the sea ! Best experience ! we didn't have food there, so can't say anything about it. Unfortunately, didn't had a chance to enjoy the swimming pool , but the idea of it working all year is so cool. Definitely coming back if ever visiting isle of wight again :)
Superb location if you get seabird rooms
The post war breakfast is really poor, White loaf, airline packed jams and butter, full English does not include mushroom, tomatoes and baked beans. Just poor, we really should no longer eat that stuff in this century.. Do not add breakfast to your booking, and spend the money eating at a Michelin Resto ten min drive Away. But I liked the room that opens on the sea, and I had a superb swim.
Great location. Helpful staff lovely sea view room and good food
The hotel looks a little tired from the outside, especially the paint, but would put this down to the location right up to the sea and spray. Inside I couldn't fault it. The room overlooking the bay, was large and well appointed with a sizeable bathroom, which had both a bath and separate shower. As a personal matter of taste I hate black wall tiles which this bathroom had. Apart from that the stay at the Albion was excellent with friendly staff. As I ate all my meals out at friends I didn't have chance to experience their meals, though I do think £9-50 for breakfast is a bit steep when a lot of hotels include breakfast in the price.
Can't think of anything really.
Location. Lovely view. Right on beach. Staff ( young lad on duty efficiently dealt with our room problems and upgraded us to sea view room after consulting with Head Office). Nice swimming pool - pity sauna and Jacuzzi not working.
Duvet too many togs so we were too hot so just used cover. Initial room given had bulb in main light blown and loo did not flush so had to change room. Breakfast was of inferior quality - not exactly a "full English"!
Big room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Bed was a bit hard.
Fabulous location. The room was clean and pleasant with a good bed, shower & bath.
The coffee at breakfast was awful. We couldn't drink it and asked for tea instead. We overheard people on another table muttering about it in a very English way :-)
Views to die for, lovely room and smart bathroom
Bar lacked atmosphere..
The view is excellent if you get the front I would only recommend to friends for the view
Shared balcony especially if a dog has been brought there and owner hasn't cleaned up straight away Noise from other occupants Bathroom water not running away from shower Mould in shower Breakfast was poor for value
Breakfast not available until 8am
bed poor, too expensive for service offered and received
Location was sleazy. Room was small and overcrowded. Staff were indifferent
The location was good
Absolutely awful breakfast, about £1's worth of food on the plate and I had to pay an extra £10 per person for the privilege. Also we weren't allow to sit by the window although the breakfast room was empty! Let the stay down to be honest!!
Lack of Air-Conditioning
The sea side location and the view from the bed room balcony
Evening meal cost @ £24phead it seamed steep having said that we never tried it so may have been surprised by what we got for our money.
Albion is beautifully located, with sea views, fantastic walks, and the sound of the waves from just about everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. Even though we had a land facing room, the balcony still gave a great view along the beach, and waking up to the sea air and sound of waves was wonderful. Running away from work stresses for a few days, it was just what we needed. The bar and lounge, with views out to sea, were also comfortable and very appreciated in the evening.
Some silly things let the hotel down - the pool was chilly, the sauna missing, and the jacuzzi far too cold to sit in for more than a few minutes. The budget loo roll in the room caused us to go and buy our own, and 2 tea-bags a day for a double room was a bit minimalist. Also it would have been good to be able to decide in the morning whether we wanted breakfast or not - and why could we put drinks from the bar onto our room, but breakfast had to be paid in advance the day before? Also, we'd have been much more inclined to eat in, had the restaurant offered other choices than an expensive (albeit delicious looking) 3-course set menu. Sometimes you really do just want a toasted sandwich!
The view was lovely, the staff were friendly and happy, the room was clean
There wasn't anything to do nearby so my partner done a lot of driving and wasn't aware how expensive red funnel the ferry was and a shame the pool wasn't heated or the jacuzzi as would have spent our time in their
Location Superb Quality of Rooms Superb Transportation Links Superb Low or Negligible Noise Environment Breakfast worth paying for
