It was supposed to be a triple room for us 3 adults, but I think its only best fit for 1 person. The room was very, very small on the ground floor n once u opened the window, any person can just jump in as it faces the mainroad. It was so hot in july n without aircon, its just unbearable. We could not put our 3 bags in the room without tripping over them. The bathroom just measured 1 half by 1 meter size with a swing door, n a small sink with no place to put even your toothbrush etc nor be able to hang a face towel. The photos of the rooms were so deceiving cos we paid 707pounds for 5 nights and its really a big rip off. Its the worst kind ever ive stayed in my life of 60 years, n many many years of travelling the world. Would not recommend to any one/fool please.

It was central to London. The walls were too thin and it was like sharing the room with the couple next door, I could hear them talking. Mattress needed changing it was leaning on one side. Breakfast was basic, coffee was not good!

Absolutely disgusting, dirty bed linen covered in horrible stains and on very scary square with lots of dodgy characters hanging around. Didn't stay there as didn't feel safe and was 7 months pregnant. They didn't live up to their 'free cancellation'

Location -- minutes from St Pancras, and 10 mins walk from Russell Square. Quiet. Receptionist was very helpful, stored my luggage for me so I could go shopping before getting my train. Reception is in a separate hotel on the other side of the square. Breakfast room small and breakfast very limited - basically processed bread and a toaster, a hot drink, and that's it. Single room was clean but very poky. Very limited selection of tv channels. "Free wi-fi" did not work. Advertised "heated towel rail" did not exist. Have had better for 50 pounds.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Although the room was quite small, it was very comfy. The hotel's location is excellent. The breakfast was better (and cheaper) than in many other places in Paris. The room was cleaned and the towels changed every day. We were not so happy about having to pay extra for breakfast and for Wi- fi access, but perhaps this is how they keep their prices so low. Overall we were very satisfied.

The location of this hotel was a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross stations and 15 minute walk from Euston stations. Lots of shops around this area to keep me stocked with items that I required for my trip. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The room was big enough for 3 people and kept very tidy and clean. I am planning another 3 trips to London over the next year and would use this hotel again.

clean and reasonably comfortable Breakfast was dire, bread and a broken toaster and 2 filthy cereal dispensers. None of the fruit or cheeses mentioned in the breakfast menu. Also you had to walk past a whole host of "friends of staff", blocking the doorways and hanging around chatting. Very very unpleasant. Wifi did not work at all, Only some TV channels worked.

The location of the hotel was perfect, it's literally just a 2minute walk from the tube/train station at Kings Cross St Pancras so this was really useful. We had a twin room, the rooms are very clean it's just on the small side. Our room was basically a small bedroom with 2 small single beds. If you are looking for something basic and aren't looking to be spending a lot of time in the room apart from sleeping over then I recommend this place. It is located in a fairly decent location, it's near a lot of other hotels/b&b's but around are lots of flats and is a residential area. Doesn't take long to get to the centre of town, for us to get to Leicester Sq/Oxford Circus it only took us abt 10/15mins on the tube. Also if you need access to Heathrow airport then it only takes you just under an hour to get there on the tube, costing you only about £5. I'd recommend this hotel definitely for its location but the rooms aren't worth what we paid. They should be at least £20 cheaper as the rooms were very basic, but clean. The rooms being so small. The stairway was also really small. A larger person would find difficulty getting through the doors and hallways.

Our 2nd visit to Albion House / Melville Hotel associated hotels, much improved decor this year with a modern clean feel, though a little disturbing to sometimes hear water draining from bathrooms above through pipes in our walls. We appreciated the reception staff letting us leave our suitcases in a locked downstairs room until it was time for our train. I'm sure that we will be staying again next time we visit London Little quirky to have to walk around to corner to another hotel for breakfast to a very small 'dining room' - sometimes having to queue outside if it was a busy time.

It was near to the underground station. The room was too small. It was noisy at night. The walls are so thin you could hear neighbours going to the toilet. Our towels were not changed during our 3 day stay. The room wasnt cleaned until 4.30 in the afternoon when we were back in. Breakfast was a joke , the dining room was far too small to fit everyone in. Nobody explained the routine for breakfast. The only words spoken by staff at breakfast was 'tea cofee?' Dreadful place to stay. The hotel should have been described as a Hostel. Overpriced with no Hotel facilities.

Excellent location in attractive leafy square right beside Kings Cross Good value for money and warm Minimalist damp smelling bathroom. Not much can be done about its size but try and get rid of the smell! Downsize or remove the wardrobe! Unnecessarily large wardrobe severely restricting movement in the room.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
