Good shower Great setting for a wedding
Twin room was a bit cramped for two people; pillows not very comfortable
The service was great really quiet, the service was excellent and the food was first class. Really impressed with this place, would definitely go back.
Staff - all seemed really happy could not do enough for us Looked after us and our car really well
A very warm and friendly hotel with an excellent restaurant and staff. The rooms in the old house are full of character and charm.
Cant think of anything
the whole ambience of the hotel
Restricted menu in the evening. Due to a busy lunch time. Manager has apologised.
dining room and food were good
bedroom tea and coffee facility having to be done in a cupboard very awkward. nowhere to sit in bedroom.
The staff the location the restaurant

Setting and ambiance
Toilet in our bedroom wasn't as clean as it should have been.
Free wifi Hospitality tray Great customer service
Breakfast was a bit dried out, and no option other than having eggs scrambled. The pastries, fruit and yogurts were a better option!
The regency Suite was beautiful. Andy was on duty & soon made us feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Evening Meal superb, staff very professional & again nothing was too much trouble
Food & service was excellent, the room was clean, tidy & in order.
The shower head was a little low for me & was not adjustable.
Good food. Wonderful old building. Keen, enthusiastic staff.
Outlook over derelict building to the rear.
We stayed over for a friends wedding, loved the grounds the room was tastefully decorated and lovely and clean. We really enjoyed ourselves
Cannot fault anything, perfect. Would recommened to friends and anyone traveling this way. Felt totally relaxed. Brilliant choice.
Staff were absolutely excellent. A special mention to Javier that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Food was delicious (we had dinner one night at the hotel restaurant)
There was a slight musty smell in the room, specially the sheets. The bathroom needed a bit of refurbishment. This didn't spoil our weekend though.
Excellent location, fantastic staff and building
Beguilingly gorgeous garden overlooking the moat (with swans!), truly excellent staff and organisation (bordering on five-star service). Despite the fact that they were hosting a large wedding as well as other guests, the service was still excellent. And the food was just simply exquisite!
Our room, in the adjacent new-build block, was small (and the walls were very thin!); bathroom cramped and poorly designed.
The manager Malcolm was the quintessential host always cheerful, and treating each guest as the only one. A rare ability. Food great, service great, facilities great. Most impressed.
Slight blip with reception unmanned a couple of times so had to search for staff member to get key, however there was a wedding going on.
Exceedingly well run hotel with excellent staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Added to this a superb location and you have all the ingredients of a first-rate stay.
From the first minute of arrival to the last when leaving there was not one thing we could fault. The whole staff could not have been more accommodating.Fabulous break and would have no hesitation in booking again.I didn't think perfection existed in England any more but how wrong I was
having to leave
Food pricing is on the limit of value for money Bedroom block smelt unpleasant with an attempt to mask it with air freshener. The bedroom block is in need of refurbishing The bathrooms are too small The acoustics are terrible.
Peace and quite
Rooms a little dated.
Stunning building, very helpful and pleasant staff, excellent food
Would have liked softer pillow and bed but not a problem
