Bad mobile reception
Very friendly and helpful staff . Good food in bar. Room was clean, spacious and well equipped.
Location Food Room
Staff were exceptional and made our stay very pleasurable . The hotel was outstanding
I couldn't stay for longer
absolutely everything !
Mix of old and new buildings give it character Good food in the restaurant
No lifts in some parts Wi Fi not good everywhere
Staff very helpful and friendly. Very nice country house hotel in a good location. Good leisure club facilities including a sauna & steam room. Would certainly go back.
The location was nice.
The Spa treatments expensive , music loud and not relaxing more dance music ? The steam room needs cleaning . The bar attendant was disgusting he " poured whisky back in the bottle in front of me"as i had not signed up my credit card on arrival and said he could not put drinks on my room. Everything far too expensive especially to eat and offered £20 for 2 courses but 30 of us went to local pub great value for money . Steak night £10 plus free bottle of wine
Everything we wanted was provided. It was quiet, very comfortable, a wonderful breakfast too. Staff were all friendly and helpful and lovely surroundings
Everything about the hotel
Finding our way out of Shrewsbury Town Centre to the Hotel on arrival - No signpost directing you to the A528 towards ellesmere BUT once found we were OK
Very polite and friendly staff but service delivery is poor. Restaurant not busy and they didn't bring the drink that I had ordered. Also I was still waiting for the bill 10 mins after asking for it and that was after being ignored for 10 mins and not been asked if i would like a further course. I ended up going directly to pay the bill at the restaurant reception. Additionally the floor in the bedroom had a hair clip on the floor plus some glitter.
Clean and friendly staff
The staff were very nice and friendly especially Dev in the bar. We had a delicious afternoon tea which Dev laid out beautifully. The breakfasts were very tasty.
When we arrived they didn't have our booking from bookings.com. We were given room 24, up in the roof. We had a lot of stairs to go up and down as no lifts. The shower water just came out as a slow trickle the whole of our 2 night stay. The room was quite small for a superior room and didn't look like the one we had seen when booking.
Very spacious room, spotlessly clean and delicious breakfast in comfortable surroundings. Staff very friendly, helpful and polite.
Poor external lighting especially in the far side of the car park which was totally pitch black
Spacious room, quiet Great breakfast
Comfortable bed, clean room .Very friendly staff. Excellent evening meal in the restaurant
the bed, room service
dining room, dining staff, breakfast, hard to find in dark and rain, sign not good, wi fi instructions, prices, small tv,
Excellent standards in all areas. Would highly recommend.
Surroundings room was excellent
Price of drinks !
This is a lovely hotel with friendly, welcoming and conscientious staff. We were accommodated with late check in and check out. All enquired where delt with immediatly. We were in the stable wing and the room was exceptional. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was large. As a whole the rooms cleanliness was outstanding. Breakfast was self service with a wide variet (cooked and cereal/ toast and pastries). The food was delusious and I was well accommodated when I ordered a packed lunch.
Spa facilities were good, enjoyable and relaxing. Good facilities in the bedroom, including decent hairdryer Breakfast - poached eggs cooked to perfection, I had veggy sausages which were leek & potato, really tasty! The buffet hot food was still hot, despite it being nearly 9am. Had to resist the scrummy looking pastries as I'm watching my weight but they looked amazing!
Bed was a little hard
Really good spa/pool. Almost all the staff were really helpful, especially reception staff. Very good food 90% of the time. Good location for touring and nice grounds. Have stayed on 3 occasions and would stay again.
Very uncomfortable pillows. Unheated bathroom. One meal was quite poor and barely warm.
It was all pretty good but...
The shower was broken and the towels were old and frayed. This was disappointing!
the room too small.
Lits of places to visit nearby great base for holiday.
