using the facilities of pool, jaccuzi, steam room etc. A nice meal and generally just relaxing Noisy children who splashed about in the pool was irritating, and service in the restaurant was slow. |

Disappointed no set menu on offer although there were additional costs on some of the items if you had had the set menu !! Room 20 very comfortable and clean but many dead flies on the windowsill. Not a problem but could have been cleared |

it was very peaceful, rooms were a good size, beds comfy, fan! we were in room 5 & the lightshade was cracking & not very good. I am a sales Director for a lighting company so I left a catalogue for the housekeeper as I believe the lamps & shades vcould be improved. |

The breakfast was wonderful. Excellent provision and attention to detail. The matress was far too soft for my liking. I had a particularly poor nights sleep in room 14 and would not recommend the room but would recommend the hotel. On a lighter note, the laying of tables in the dining room was was done by someone who put the knifes on the left and the forks on the right. More training required in that department!!!!! |

I liked the peace and tranquility. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The rooms were well soundproofed and although a wedding was taking place we did not hear any noise at all in our room - in fact we enjoyed listening to the jazz in the garden. Breakfast very good. We found the bed rather uncomfortable. |

The spaciousness of the room and bathroom, created a light an airy feel. The bed was very comfortable. It was great to have a separate shower cubicle, (to the bath) with lots of space, and no curtain to fight with!! Plenty of storage space for toiletries, cosmetics, and clothes. The breakfast was excellent, as were the breakfast staff. The hotel could do with being re-decorated, as it looks a little sad and tired, with signs of missing pictures, and new wall heaters having been installed. (Old screw holes, not patched up!) Not having air-conditioning during the summer months, meant opening the windows, which is not very secure, when on the ground floor. |

Lovely surroundings, very peaceful, excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, friendly staff, there was no one to take our cases, empty mini-bar,no milk, sugar and only enough coffee for two cups.evening meal was very much overpriced, vegetables should be inclusive of meal price. |

Excellent evening meal and good selection for breakfast TV in first ground floor room in The Schoolmasters House was unwatchable and bed felt damp so we asked for another room and there was no problem with this. However room in The Stables was a nice room but had 14" tv, also with poor reception, too small and too far away to watch from the bed. Expect better than that for the price of the room. |

The Spa was well equiped although didn't have time to use it. Lovely grounds and very peaceful. Had a room near the generator which kept us awake all night but were moved the next day to another room on complaint. Staff were very accommodating. |

We were welcomed by a friendly staff upon arrival who attended to our every need. The rooms were large and airy, and the facilities were very cordial all around. Our meals were excellent and again served in an efficient and friendly atmosphere. The hotel is actually a 300+ old stately manor house which has been gracefully converted and sits on beautiful grounds. It is about 3 miles from Shrewsbury town centre, so a car is definitely recommended. There is a car park on site just steps from the main entrance. Overall an excellent hotel and highly recommended This is a minor issue, but it was a little difficult to find. Don't rely strictly upon your gps - a call to the hotel for exact directions is recommended. |
