Fantastic bathroom in deluxe room, welcome and attentiveness of staff, christmas gift!
Bed perhaps a little on the small side, TV definitely on the small side.
Really helpful, friendly Staff - great rooms and excellent breakfast. Would recommend the Hotel.
A beautiful house, beautifully "dressed." Comfortable, warm. Dinner and special afternoon tea delicious and reasonably priced. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and attentive.
The view was wonderful. Having 2 recliner chairs to relax in was a bonus. Plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent and provided soya milk for me.
The ticking clock on the wall as I,m a light sleeper. Not necessary as had an alarm clock.
clean, comfortable and pleasant room ideal for an overnight stay or even longer, good welcome and excellent breakfast
Had a free upgrade to a superior room which was excellent. Hotel was clean, warm, friendly and breakfast was excellent.
We were lucky to be upgraded to a superior room which was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the garden the owners have created also added to the impact of the excellent facilities.
Very clean with nice décor and friendly staff. excellent cooked breakfast.
Lovely place to stay :) staff were friendly and it was very clean!
Very friendly proprietor who could not do enough to help. Super breakfast and a good sized room with very comfortable beds
Nothing to dislike with this establishment!
Very homely and comfortable. Would definatly stay again. Warm welcome, excellent breakfast.
Our room, the breakfasts, the owner, the gardens, car parking facilities, the area, convenient for both Minehead and Dunster, the price.
Well-appointed, comfortable family type hotel. Wi Fi Excellent breakfast friendly owners close to Exe Valley, Dunster and fine walks
The friendliness of our host, who in no time at all made you feel as though you were old friends . Easy access to Local points of interest and the beautiful Exmoor .
The end to our holiday.
Lots of character. Room very clean and nicely decorated. Attention to detail. Exactly as you see it on the web. Food excellent. A lovely change from the standard chain hotels. Staff very friendly and helpful, would definitely go back again.
Everything was thoughtfully, carefully and well done. Attention was paid to details, such as for instance toothpicks on the dining table and a slice of fresh orange in the jug of orange juice at breakfast - little things, that demonstrated care and thoughtfulness. The bedroom was of a good size and it and the adjoining bathroom were well appointed. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Frank and Joe were very pleasant and helpful. The whole package was superb. .
Excellent service, lovely rooms, friendly owners and great breakfast! And a beautiful garden!
Decor of rooms and hotel was lovely. Breakfast very nice. Liked the fact that there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, and china cups and saucers. Would certainly recommend your hotel.
Grab rail by front door to would be nice. Also one in the shower. Otherwise all was delightful
We have just returned from four delightful days in the Alcombe House Hotel and would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay. Frank kept us entertained with his cheery banter and Joe kept our taste buds entertained with the wonderful food! Truly excellent hotel, highly recommended
Nothing, it was all excellent
everything was excellent
I liked everything about my stay, Frank was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was amazing, rooms were lovely, parking was right outside and Free wifi!
My only constructive criticism, to get 10/10 is to improve the wifi, I couldn't always find it, and when I did it would flicker in and out.
Clean and tidy Pleasant rooms Good garden easy access to walks
Frank and Joe have created a warm and friendly environment in which to spend a few days exploring this lovely part of the country. Their attention to detail is meticulous ensuring that everything in the bedroom is in the right place and works efficiently. The garden is a delight. The wine list is well-chosen and well-priced and the breakfast of good quality.
The pleasant-enough dinner at £30 per head for 3 courses and coffee was over-priced.
We were very pleased with the room, the garden was pretty and a car park on site. Easy to find on main road very friendly staff, very good breakfast.
Frank was excellent inevery respect, before we arrived I let him know my wife was lactose intolerant, he assured me this wouldn'y be a problem - it wasn't - he even had lactose free milk in our room (for a cup of tea) - no one else has ever done this before - brilliant!!
