The room the comfort of the bed and enjoyed the food at breakfast
Cold toast had to ask for fresh as the bread went hard. Being in a room and not informed that a party was going on in the suite next door a man playing bag pipes and then very loud disco music when you could only hear the base thudding.
Food was very nice
A party bellow us didn't finish until 1AM , felt like I was actually at the party myself. Not happy as I could sleep till everyone went home.
Staff were pleasant and helpful
Needs better air-con
3rd stay. Excellent.

Tasting menu & breakfast were great
Shower was not very good
Convenient location friendly staff and lovely breakfast.
Poor T V set Room not soundproof. Poor manner of the receptionist on our first visit to advise we had arrived.
Spacious rooms with great bathroom facilities
Breakfast lovely but a little expensive for the buffet continental breakfast better to order a breakfast from the menu
décor breakfast service
bedroom too small
Everything fabulous a gem in alderley edge stayed 21 12 2014 Elizabeth Jackson
The hotel was in a nice setting, the communal areas felt clean and cosy, the breakfast was good.
The room was very small and cramped, the bathroom was a bit dingy with a temperamental toilet flush and very slow draining shower.
Staff where fabulous.. Nothing was any trouble
Had the single room .. Rather small and very hot
Breakfast good. Late check out.
Room 15 loo fan downstairs going on frequently. Probably should have paid more for bigger room.
The room was lovely. Good period proportions and comfy bed. Breakfasts were really good. All the staff except the first rude young woman on reception (see dislikes) were really pleasant and friendly. Great location for walking down to Alderley Edge for dinner.
The young woman who 'greeted' us when we first arrived was really rude (dark hair in a pony tail) just telling us that we couldn't check in, but offering nowhere to sit and wait for the 10 minutes until check-in (we went back out to the car). If you think that customers are a nuisance you shouldn't work in the hospitality business. Having the cleaning staff area right outside our door was noisy. We didn't realise in advance that there would be a disco just downstairs until midnight on both nights, so the boom boom of the music wasn't great.
Having to leave
room, location, food, comfort
Christmas party until midnight. Loud music. Not good for early morning flight.
Ive stayed here a number of times on business and leisure. The front desk courteous and polite, the rooms spacious , clean and airy. The highlight ..the restaurant, attentive staff good food and nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Restaurant, expensive but worth it.
Attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere in the brasserie. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Breakfast also very good. Room very comfortable, thoughtfully positioned away from large business group. Lots of toiletries in the well fitted bathroom.
The main restaurant menu was less appealing than the brasserie, which is why we chose the latter. We were conscious of a hum in our room during the night, which we suspect was from external a/c units.
Had a lovely Christmas shopping trip away, great atmosphere.
Very friendly staff and good food.
easy to walk into the village bar area great Room was amazing
bit pricey however i suppose you get what you pay for
