I was told Hamilton Court is popular as a student accommodation but it didn't seem so for me! Especially since the Alderman Apartment I stayed in was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen! Tesco Express was just round the corner and Cabot Circus was within walking distance. Bravo!
We had two apartments for six of us. They were modern, clean and well equipped, a real find!
The parking and finding where the car park was was a bit tricky - a big sign would have helped.
Apartment had everything we needed, very clean and fresh. Nice big TV screen. No traffic noise. No cleaners coming in. Well equipped kitchen. Handy for Cabot Circus and walking to harbour. Quiet location. Very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend.
Area not very nice - many beggars around, though not felt threatened. Not enough hot water for 2 baths.
Great location, great flat, it has everything you can possibly need.
The entrance door has a trick you need to know to open it.
The layout of the rooms, quality of beds, lounge and bathroom.
No lift working. Seal on window in main bedroom poor so not sound proof. Noisy guests/ residents outside in garden area early Saturday morning. Could hear conversation and bad language. Seal on window not good enough to block out.
location size of rooms
Parking arrangements need to be explicit on your front sheet welcome letter .Your letter is signed did not turn over ,thumb on arrow .With no clear instruction . We then assumed parking bay was apartment number.Genuine honest mistake picked up when we unpacked in apartment and full letter gone through when looking for password. I went straight back to move car.Very angry resident blocked in car despite car park being EMPTY Not able to locate the driver. The car eventually moved at 11am the following morning very anxious son needed to be moved into Uni Halls .Scary behaviour ,pleased on this occasion we were not catching a plane .
The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Very clean so able to put your clothes straight into the wardrobe without having to clean first. Good local detail given in finformation book
The sofa bed sagged Very noisy during the night.
Quality of furnishings Space Secure parking
Quality of some of the mattresses was disappointing Lift didn't work
Cleanliness and kitchen facility. We have a fussy toddler so it was important that she can eat what she wants.
It wasn't too important for us, but DVD player was broken. Check-in/out procedure was a bit awkward. Also, bathroom didn't drain too well.
Apartment & location
1-The manegment not responding in proficional way when fir alarm started due to malfunction for two days ( me and my family didn't sleep well for 2 days. 2-didn't reterun the deposit mony for a damige in sofa bed happened befor my stay in the apartment althow I report the damage first day I arrive . 3-Nosy sounds because the ambulance from the hospital near by & seagull birds all day and early morning .
The apartment was very noisy due to the location. The double glazing did not keep put any noise through day and it was very noisey at night being on the hospital route.
Superior decor, great facilities if thinking of self catering, check in easy to do in a non staffed building....fantastic all round
The fact that my stay was only 2 nights, we will definitely be booking again and for much longer
Well organised, easy book in system, excellently equipped, spacious, clean apartment, good parking. Excellent location (for BIMM).
Traffic noise, drunken revellers in the street in the early hours. Bit expensive.
- large living room with a fully equipped kitchen - not to far to the center
- in 2 nights from 3 nights false fire-alarm so we can not sleep - no staff to ask - the water from the shower is sometime very hot
Good location, easy access to city center. The flat is clean, secure and well equipped. Except for the broken table, the rest is fine. We enjoy the stay. For sure, we will recommend for others to stay.
The table is falling apart. All legs are having trouble. Hope it can be replaced soon. For such a well managed apartment, it is unthinkable.
Apartment was well appointed, clean, comfortable, secure, quiet and not expensive. From these perspectives, best places I've styed in Bristol.
It was so hot in there. It was a very hot weekend but I don think the ventilation could be imporved. Also, no ventilation from the toilets and bathrooms, which were internal rooms.
Good location, very clean and comfortable. Home from home.
Situated on a busy road, if you don't like road noise it's probably not the place for you.
staff everything was clear nice place
Very small beds Complicated procedure for entrance TV was not working properly
Dodgy area. Car parking in basement expensive. Free car park over the road between 6 pm and 9am
The shower is very powerful. Nice, clean and modern. Enjoyable stay.
outside noise at night - much preferred an apartment that faced the inner courtyard
Three good sized bedrooms. Enough crockery/cutlery for 8 people even though we had 6 staying. Clean
Issues with the water pipes making noises. Sounds from the gulls dripping pipes outside
The apartment was very comfy, clean and had everything we could possibly want. It was in a great location to visit the city centre, Gloucester Road and Clifton
The only problem was the noise at night we had some wonderful warm days but meant the apartment was hot so needed the windows open to sleep. Being so close to hospital, student accommodation and Jamaica St Hostel meant ambulances and lots of drunk people making so much noise into the very early hours.
This was the third time I stayed at Hamilton Court. Have always had a good experience and felt safe. My room faced the courtyard and was very quiet. Love having a full kitchen to save money and eat in. Great central location is within easy walking distance of anything you could need.
The apartment was beautiful! We were all able to relax and unwind in its wonderful environment. It was well stocked with all needed items. We can highly recommend staying here! One of the best things was how clean it was; it was spotless! Very convenient to the grocery store and bus station.
The shower in the small bathroom was very tiny, and several times we burned ourselves on the towel rack because of the placement of it so close to the toilet. We had five people in our group, so we had to space the showers because the last two people to get showers would not have hot water. Also, the toilets didn't tend to flush very well and the seats were loose. These are just little things. Also, there were many sirens from the nearby hospital, but these all stopped about 11pm.
