- Spacious - good location - very close to the town - comfy beds
- Would have been useful to have washing up sponges, hand soap, tea towels etc - no instructions on how to turn on the hot water - frustrating when it came to running our child's bath at the end of a long day travelling
Location is ideal and has parking which is a bonus The space is a good size although awkward layout
The flat wasn't clean, bathroom filthy Cupboard doors were falling off and kitchen was ill fitted in places The freezer was full of ice not sure if it's ever been defrosted There is a lot of noise from the flat upstairs There was no hot water for a shower in the morning so the basics of staying in accommodation wasn't satisfied
Lovely apartment, clean , close to the town, value for money.walking distance if you have wedding to go at abbey hotel, like we had.
Facilities and comfort
Steepness of approach road and drive
Very quiet location. Big living room. Heating quickly functioning ( it was cold when we arrived).
Bedside lamps: quite broken down, electrically not safe, 2 of them (out of four) had no bulbs. When you arrive in the evening not very pleasant. I notified Sarah the morning thereafter by SMS and e- mail but nobody brought the missing bulbs.... Several dead and living insects in the apartement. No hairdryer. Not a piece of soap or shampoo.
Great location for walks in the hills and access to the town. Available at short notice, and very easy booking process.
Very close to Malvern centre with comfy beds and spacious, well appointed accommodation. Having two toilets is a real bonus. Being able to book a flat for a single night at a time is really good too.
Perhaps a bigger sign on the outside or at the gate plus more detailed directions on booking (eg turn up St Anne's road at the Red Lion opposite the Nationwide - tall mainly red brick building just round the corner) - not an easy road to be searching up and down and the photo suggests a white building.
Modern appearance but done slap dash which was a shame. Quiet location.
Lack of cleanliness. No clean dish cloth, no teatowel, no bin bags no hand soap. Cutlery dirty. Kitchen cabinets falling off hinges Shower screen & mirror in bathroom had not been cleaned in a long time. Towel radiator was filthy. No hooks or shelves in bathroom. Paint peeling off walls around shower, depressing bathroom in general. Generally shoddy renovation - lampshade in single bedroom hanging down showing wires & was below head height. Was warm but boiler v noisy. No heating in bathroom as towel radiator did not work. Lady was not very friendly on phone when we called to express our disappointment. I would not stay here again or recommend it.
Clean, spacious flat with everything we needed for our stay.
The turn into to car park from the road was difficult to judge the first time. I did get better at it though!
Washing machine didn't work
Location and space
A bit dark in kitchen dining area windows did not open and no dishwasher
Excellent location beautiful building well equipped
Bathroom was a little tired and bed uncomfortable
I loved the location and the apartment was great as a couple or even with the children
My friend and I stayed overnight in the ground floor apartment. Great location and very peaceful. Plenty of parking spaces. The apartment was spotless. The lounge/kitchen/dining area was spacious. Two bedrooms - a double bedroom with an en-suite toilet and basin and a single bedroom. Separate bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The heating wasn't on when we arrived but a quick call to the owner soon rectified this - we just needed to turn the thermostat up! We thought the apartment was excellent value for money and would certainly stay again when we are next in the area.
Very good size nice location.
Shower was dirty and paint peeling from the walls. Kitchen units in need of repair. No signs outside to indicate the name of the property.
Close to the town center. Flat itself was very comfortable and clean.
Upon arrival had to ring owners in order to obtain key. This situation was very unsatisfactory and a better system needs to be put in place. Entrance to car park far too narrow and no sign to indicate property.
Really great space and everything we needed for our weekend stay with our two year old. Brilliant location for centre of Malvern and the hill walks. We had no trouble with the heating, condition or cleanliness as stated in other reviews as it was warm, clean and well maintained. Made our family trip relaxed and really enjoyable as it felt like a home from home.
Could have done with a sign at the top of the drive as our Sat nav only took us to the road and we missed the flat at first, having to turn in a very narrow road which was rather tricky. Agree with a previous review about no Windows opening. After grilling breakfast we needed to clear the fatty air to stop the smoke alarm keep going off and our only option was to open the French doors and guard them to stop our two year from escaping!!!!
There was plenty of space and the apartment is very quiet. The heater works well but drops at night. The apartment is well equipped but lacks a bit of tea and coffee on arrival. It is near the center but we must be in good physical condition to climb the road that accesses the apartment if you do not have a car . We had a great stay in this apartment.
There is no one on arrival and the keys are placed in a box. Unfortunately when we arrived, the keys were not in the box. We called the owner and waited a long time before entering . The maid does not seem very serious because it would ensure that the key was in the box. The cleaning was not done very well : we found empty bottles behind the sofa and cobwebs There are also a lot of spiders and other insects. The carpeting is dirty but the rest is clean : the bathrooms, the kitchen, the beds. The double bed mattress should be changed because we feel the springs. We have not been able to open the door bedroom window .
The apartment has everything you need for a short stay. The rooms were spacious and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen had everything required. Its spacious with constant hot water which is what we needed after a long days work. There were some areas though that needed attention and could be greatly improved with no cost. Some of it is very basic stuff like an information manual .See what I didn't like.
I think communication could be improved here. On booking I as the apartment has parking I had specifically asked for space for a large van. the wk before I had had no contact from the owner so e mailed to check on where to get the key from and mentioned the parking, however was told that they couldn't accommodate the vehicle & suggested I parked at the bottom of the hill ithe pay and display, although slightly inconvenient I didn't mind however when arriving I found that you cannot park there for over 2 hours so I had to go to the tourist info to find out where I could park. I found that I could park on Victoria Road for free but as this is the other side of town had to ferry luggage etc a long way up hill. We had a couple of other issues which could be solved by having a manual for guests i.e. the boiler lost pressure so we had no hot water this was sorted out quickly with a tel call however as I was told this happens a lot if there was an info book in the apartment it could be referred to. Also things like how to operate the heating would be useful. One final thing was the place was in need of a good spring clean the windows were covered in cobwebs and grime and the mirror in the ensuite looked like it had the aftermath of someone elses sneeze on it.
Apartment and its facilities
Just a shame that he apartment needed a good clean through. Contacted owner on mobile phone number to inform them that the apartment was not clean but did not get a reply, left message. No sign of any staff to report to.
