Its central location was excellent. The radiator had a thermostat so you could adjust the heat to your own preference. The breakfast was good with lots to choose from. The old windows did nothing to reduce the traffic noise and being on a very busy street meant lots of sirens, cars, bin lorries and road sweepers throughout the night.

The Hotel is very clean and staff friendly, although some could not communicate in English/Scotttish very well. The breakfast is very substancial, more than the hungriest person could eat.Our room & en suite was spacious and clean. We honestly could not find fault in this hotel and look forward to returning again. It is situated in an area with very good transport facilities, near shopping areas.Obviously if you want to find fault you will.. We certainly recommend this hotel..Mr & Mrs Donald. Aberdeen

Very convenient for Glasgow Central railway station. Very pleasant welcome. Amazingly grand dining room, and a good choice of food. A much nicer hotel than the exterior facade suggests - we will definitely stay there again.

Convenience was a major factor as the hotel turned out to be a 2 min walk from the station and we were attending The Arches concert venue which was directly opposite the station entrance. First impression on arrival at hotel was very good. Reception staff very friendly and when we needed assistance (trouble closing the window in our room, we just didnt have the knack!) someone came up immediately. Room facilities, overall, were very good with tea/coffee/biscuits and, although we were overlooking Argyle Street, on a Saturday night with a single glazed window closed, there was no disturbance. The buffet style breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of choices, from the traditional Full English to cereals, fresh fruit and juices, cheese, hams etc. Tea and coffee as much as you could drink! Our only gripe was that the pillows weren’t the greatest and a couple of coat hooks to hang wet outdoor clothes would have been welcome.

Can u please not send me messages through the night as it woke me up. The hotel is ideally located and excellent value for money. Our room was refurbished to a high city centre standard. The staff are friendly and we use this hotel over and over again and would recommend to our friends. Nothing negative to say about this hotel apart from could breakfast be served up until 10am. We missed it both days as when u r on holiday you want a later breakfast. Thankyou

Breakfast buffet was great - lots of variety. The free internet access is rooms was fast. Great central location near the train station and shopping streets. Woman on front desk was not very friendly - should learn to smile. Room I was in was next to the boiler room as was quite noisy.

Staff could not do enough for you. Nothing is a problem for them. We had a 'Budget Room', but was better than most rooms in a higher star rating within the City. You are central for everything. Breakfast is a 'FEAST', you certainly don't need lunch. Hotel can be off putting from the outside think it is a listed building, but is comfortable & clean inside. Would certainly stay here again, and also recommend it to others.

It was in ideal location for us in the city centre. The staff were lovely and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast in the morning. The hotel was perfect for what we wanted which was a city break and shoppping trip combined with a great price for the stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location.was leaving early in the morning and the night porter offered to have some breakfast arranged for us. The room was extremely hot on arrival.even after turning the radiator off,the heat was unbearable.the shower was freezing for at least five minutes.the water then heated to volcanic temperatures and the taps simply would not allow me to adjust the temperature to a more comfortable temperature.ended up having to wash in the sink as I was nervous of the results of a scalding shower.when staff were informed,in fairness they sent somebody to fix the dodgey radiator however it reverted back to scorching temperature again during the night making it impossible to sleep.

Great price and location. Our room was a good size, warm and comfy. Good breakfast buffet. Breakfast times are from 7 'til 9.30am and checkout by 10.30am fine for me but one of our friends found it all a bit early.

Have stayed in hotel a few times and have always enjoyed the experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice is excellent. The room we were in this time had dampness on the walls and could do with a lick of paint it was a bit tired looking.

Very friendly young man at reception at 9pm when we arrived. The hotel is always nice and warm Stayed in room 105 which has large windows. The traffic was very noisy, the room desperately needs double glazing. Always ask for a room facing the back of the hotel
