Not a lot
Place was run down, grotty, bedding had cigarette burns, and room was stinking of smoke.
near to central station. city centre.shopping area. plenty choice at breakfast &quick service very good value for money we will use again definitely.
Location - very close to Central station Good basic hotel Breakfast was good
Location was slightly in the wrong side of town - I would not want to walk around on my own at night Renovation was not complete Room quality varied as friend stayed in big renovated room and I was in a small corner room
Close to train station, clean and functional rooms. Good price.
Small and somewhat rundown rooms, an indifferent staff, very poor wifi, an atttitude of indifference towards customers.
shower was hot towels were clean.
customer service poor greeting poor , sheets on bed were thin , curtains not very clean quilt not very clean or fit for purpose, bed was very uncomfortable old and worn, would not use again.
Great selection of hot food at breakfast. Close location to Central Station, easy walk to George Square. Hop on hop off across the road. Good selection of tv channels
The room keys are incredibly unreliable- had to have them rekeyed 4 times in 3 days. Could only just get wifi signal at best. Creaky floors can be quite disruptive. Old building but it appears like they are trying to do it up
Lovely room Excellent breakfast
Cold reception Noisy all night Staff not very friendly
Although hotel needs a bit of a spruce, love the age of it and the original features. Staff pleasant and helpful. Hotel clean throughout, lovely breakfast.
Bed uncomfortable and window didn't open fully so room stuffy. My friend's window didn't open at all so she spent a very uncomfortable, airless night.
The hotel is located on the edge of the main shopping district of central Glasgow, a very short walk from Glasgow Central rail station and from the Clyde. My single room was clean, comfortable and free from noise. The window opened wide, making for a good night's sleep. Lastly, the breakfast was in a class of its own - a sumptuous feast! I'll be back!
The lift is too small for a hotel with five floors.
Good location, buffet breakfast was good with a selection of cooked items.
We were on the front street fairly noisy at night.
The Location was perfect, within walking distance of everything...parking nearby very cheap rates. Lovely breakfast. Rooms very clean & had all the facilites we needed.
A little bit dated, but it is an old building.
Poor decor u finished
nights became very hot and not suitable to sleep
Noise from street. Windows that wouldn't open and one that did wouldn't stay up. Lift to slow and small. Breakfast over cooked. Noisy pub underneath room
Proximity to city centre. Good value. Fair selection for breakfast
small very slow lift for so many floors and rooms...long waits. no vegetarian selection for hot breakfast ie veggie sausages etc.
Seemed like a good location. Nice big room with good furniture. Great value just E60 per night.
There is a nightclub downstairs from the hotel with hundreds of party goers so it is very, very noisy. Then when they shut the doors the kids spill out onto the street and makes it even noisier. No WIFI in the rooms. Only a hot spot in the lobby.
The cost Central Location - walk to downtown
Scruffy exterior No parking except for paid car park Difficult to off load and load luggage
Very central, very affordable
We were unable to access wifi.
I was unable to book into our usual hotel nearby. Looking for hotel near the station Alexander Thompson popped up so booked in. Very pleasant receptionist and staff. Very reasonably priced, clean and tidy. Very good breakfast.
Fourth floor room overlooked derelict garden and constant noise from ? boiler. Lumpy beds but in fact had a really good night's sleep!
Guy on reception wasn't overly friendly, enthusiastic or remotely interested . Saw only 2 staff him and the night porter . We asked for an early continental breakfast as we were checking out at 6.30am.. (I needed to have food as I was having minor surgery and was told to eat prior to arrival at hospital) nothing was made available but a cup of black coffee from a machine, no milk, no spoon :-/ hotel was clean and comfortable enough
Central location, low(ish) cost, breakfast buffet, I think I got a newly re-furbished room, comfy bed, good shower
Bagpipes early in the morning!! Although I am sure this doesn't happen every day. Doesn't look very nice from outside and there are a few boarded up buildings in the area, not picture postcard stuff
Very large room with additional sitting room. Good breakfast.
Nice cooked breakfast, convenient location, tea & coffee and cookies provided daily, friendly staff
keycard often does not work and has to be reactivated; rooms facing street a little noisy, flat pillows
Size of room The room itself, decor and comfort Location great for centre of city Staff efficient Great value for money
Dining room and breakfast very tired
Almost next door to the Queen St train station. Very close to the Central train station and Buchanan Street bus terminal. Large clean room.
The breakfast was blahhhh after having travelled for 3 weeks in NorthernScotland this was atypical hotel fare.
