The location is amazing, very close to the city centre and to main shops and cafes around the city. The owners were very friendly during our stay.
we asked for double bed, but instead they put together two single beds, which made our nights a bit difficult.
The bed was comfortable. There was a good choice of dishes for breakfast at which the staff were pleasant & friendly. The fridge in the room was welcome as we were able to store milk for hot drinks. The location was very convenient for walking into & exploring Canterbury city centre.
There was nobody present to book us in when we arrived, yet our arrival was during the booking in period. Although we had never been asked for an estimated arrival time we were told that we had been expected at a later time. The room was a little on the warm side & there appeared to be no way of reducing the temperature other than by opening the windows. There was a lack of hot water in the evening, although plenty in the morning.
Rooms very nicely decorated, fresh an clean. Good selection at breakfast and nicely cooked. Proprietor very friendly. Bathroom good size.
Bedroom a little small which seems to be due to the larger bathroom taking up space.
warm and thoughtful the service and facilities are really good
It was excellent value, with a good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff
Locality is fantastic after a long day walking you are close to several good restaurants.
Bed was uncomfrotable
Extremely clean, good breakfast, friendly staff, great location & also very close to train station if you want to venture outside Canterbury
Owners were very friendly . 10 mins to main shops but plenty to eat and drink within 2 mins walk. Having parking was a definite bonus. Breakfast was tasty and a good selection. Deluxe Double was spacious comfortable and clean and had a mini fridge to keep drinks food etc cold. Would def stay there again in if Canterbury
Breakfast times especially at the weekends are prohibitive. 8-9 only - weird when check out is at 11am.
Very nice staff, clean room ( see other note) and good location.
Hot water maker was dirty.
Great location within walking distance of all attractions. Great breakfasts, friendly hosts, nice size rooms. We really enjoyed our stay.
A bit noisy with windows open. No air conditioning or fans. No lounge or public area to relax or get a cup of coffee or tea during the day.
Very comfortable, well equipped and clean, good service and good breakfast. Free parking within an easy walk of the Cathedral is good. DVD player was a bonus we weren't expecting.
The room, the location of the bed and breakfast as it was so near to the city centre and yet we were near to the seaside as well- best of both worlds! Oh the breakfasts were really nice and the hosts treated us really well!
I did struggle with the front door!
Convenient for town centre
