Good Staff, Food in restaurant excellent.
When booking in asked if i wanted to put extras on my card, i said yes but couldn't use a debit card only credit card. Why? Not good when no cash and wanted a drink had to go out and find a cash point
The room was spacious, the beds were just fine.
The prices for dinner in the restaurant (dining or breakfast) as compared to the quality. Staff people were relatively young, maybe a bit unexperienced, which did not set me at comfort.
No wifi needs new cables but you only find out when you arrive Why do they switch of the coffee machine I could understand if it cost a fortune
The receptionist made us feel really welcome on arrival. Dogs are allowed in the lounges and there is plenty of exercise room in the grounds. Staff in restaurant were amenable to a table change to avoid air con. Good selection for both dinner and breakfast.
Small matter of cold plate for the cooked breakfast...
Sunday too quite
Stated at this lovely warm hotel over the bank holiday. The rooms were nice big and clean. We had a great breakfast and the a swim in the pool fantastic will stay again.
We both liked everything and the hotel and staff did what it says on the tin ! .
Bed was uncomfortable, tv in room was too small and for the money I would expect a wider range of tv channels
The rooms where very spacious and clean and staff really friendly
The price of drinks and food was extortionate and on the weekend there was a wedding party which kept me awake most the night shouting up and down corridors and slamming room doors
Great staff and facilities
Fire alarm went of a few times in the middle of the night. Only a basic a standard excuse was given.
Well equipped in every way. Leisure facility particularly good.
The restaurant could be better organised, particularly at breakfast.
Shower too small , no good pressure. No wifi in the room at all. Old LCD tv without hdmi connector.
Price of food in bar and restaurant very expensive quality of food not good tv in room no choice of channels and poor picture
Quite and safe rural setting yet quite convenient for motorway. Spacious grounds, plentiful parking, good sized comfortable rooms. Tennis and other facilities. Excellent value for money.
Quite long walk to some rooms from reception - only a minor issue.
Modern hotel in extensive grounds excellently presented. Comfortable clean rooms Would recommend hotel to a friend Reception staff friendly and helpful. Excellent overall experience.
Service in the dining area poor. Long wait for waiter service at table for tea/coffee. Long wait for bread after bread ran out. In mean time breakfast went cold. May be this was an unfortunate experience or lack of staff. The few staff appeared very busy.
First and foremost the service was great, particularly the reception team who anticipated my needs and went above and beyond! Also the facilities were a lot better than I thought I would get for the money, especially the pool and spa area which I certainly made the most of.
Good location, good spacious parking, excellent breakfast. Good overnight stop (if you have a luck to sleep).
No any guest guide in the room, small TV and lack of main channels...even no soap in the bathroom. Expected more from a 4 star hotel! Next to our room almost ALL THE NIGHT(small break between 3-5 o'clock) someone was slamming the door, knocking loudly every 10-15 min...impossible to sleep. If the hotel has security and cares for the guest's comfort they would easily notice this and put it in order.
Staff were friendly
The small window opening - staying in the middle of the countryside, we would have wished to enjoy more of the clean fresh air than this small opening allowed - why were the windows designed like this in the first place?
Great hotel in a lovely location, staff were friendly and helpful
On our first visit we were woken up by the fire alarm at 3.30am then again at 5.45 and again at 6.30. unfortunate false alarm. When we returned 4 days later they had sold our room and moved us to chiseldon house nearby. Was not at all happy at the time after an 8 hour journey but they did pay for the alternative incl breakfast and chiseldon house is a lovely period hotel
The large park in which the hotel is situated is really lovely to walk. And it was nicely quiet out there. Also I got the quiet room I asked for. The gym was okay. The pool was astonishingly large.
The sauna is located in the public area right next to the pool; thus you need to wear something in there. Most of the guests went in for only 3 minutes, without a towel, so the wooden interior was rather dirty, my white towel full of black stains... And the steam room was very poorly kept as you could easily tell from the smell inside... Breakfast was not too nice, often things not available/trays empty.
Good standard of room
Food in restaurant overpriced, poor selection. Breakfast much better
This was definitely one of the best value for money stays I have ever done.
good beds and staff
very noisy till 1 o'clock in the evening and no wifi in the rooms and very poor wifi in the lobby
Quiet country location
Welcoming staff made my stay effortless and enjoyable after a long journey
Distance to our rooms next time will request a room closer to reception
